Many British Children Think Carrots Grow on Trees
 

"Farmers in England say that many children are so removed from nature and the land they think carrots grow on trees.

Farmers in the the UK have expressed concern over the number of children in both rural and urban areas that have a complete lack of knowledge about where their food comes from before it arrives at the shops.

Keith Siddorn, who gives tours to children on his farm, said that a lot of children could not identify the animal pork comes from and many get confused about how beef and milk can both come from cows.

"They don't even know whether a carrot is grown in the ground or on a tree. As far as they know, their food comes in a plastic bag from the shop and after that it is very blurred for them," said Siddorn.

Carrots grow in Mexico.. What do we care if they are from the ground or a fucking tree?

how old were these kids where were they edumacated to many facts were left out for us to say they are as dumb as american kids or not

if they were only 3 or 4 yrs old for example i wouldnt expect them to know just like i wouldnt expect a 16 or 17yr old in the us to know

What is even more stupid is the fact is NO vegatables grow on trees. Did Bugs Bunny ever get a carrot from a fricken tree? I know those lazy Brit brats watch TV.
