normal paysite Credit %?

Itīs pissing me off when some of my trial/full members call and get their charge credited because they claim they canceled before the end of trail trial ect. ect... whats the normal %?
Iīm using Jettis, and they seem very happy to refund everyone.

I would think that any third party processor is going to credit the payment if pressured even the slightest bit. Otherwise the cardholder will just charge it back. :2 cents:

I asked Jettis about their refund policy last week. They said:

"If a customer wants a refund, they get it pretty much. Through our extensive experience in this industry and trying out different techniques it has been made very clear, that when a customer wants a refund, and we do not issue, than they will go to their bank and get it anyway. Banks 99% give the customer a refund when it is an internet delivered item. "

I dont worry about that stuff. I send out emails to all my members telling them that i have their address and if they chargeback or ask for a refund i will send some ex-con's over to there hom to fuck them up and rape any family members that might be there.

You gotta start playing hardball with your members

I understand itīs very important to keep the chargeback ratio down, but I still think itīs way to easy to get your money back.. most of my refund requiring members say they did cancel before their membership would convert to monthly.. most of the time itīs a plain lie.

i have heard jettis is pretty easy when it comes to refunds,,,

believe it or not i tend to believe most Surfers will NOT call their bank to get a chargeback,, who wants to tell them it was from a porn site?

try a different proccessor who isn't so giving

1-2% is normal from what i've seen, but of course this depends on alot of factors...

SunTzu 08-28-2002 12:52 PM

Yeah it would be great if visa/mastercard would impose the same set of restrictions on their card holders as they do us.

Maybe track how many refunds/chargebacks and restrict a person if they're excessive.

:2 cents:

Jizar II... send and email to [email protected] with your account info and we'll be happy to have a look at your specific credit rates.

SunTzu... no doubt that would make all our lives much easier....and make us all much wealthier. ;-) Sadly Visa and MC are 100% behind the consumer. Ever see the MC "zero liability" commercials? Educating consumers how to refund.

Unfortunately credits are a very necessary evil. Many companies have found that the hard way.
