About a month ago I got tired of my fresh water aquarium and cleaned it out, started over with salt water. The tank finaly finished it biological cycle and its safe to add fish and invertibrates now.. so off to the fish store I went

24 Blue-Leg Hermit Crabs
2 Emerald Crabs
1 Percula Clown Fish
1 Scooter Blenny
1 Orange Spotted Goby
3 Cleaner Shrimp
10 some kind of snails

This salt water shit is way more interesting and fun than the fresh water stuff. Got a new 100 gallon tank sitting in my garage for my next project.

So who else does aquariums here? Seems to be a popular webmaster hobby.

I have some in the freezer . . . a couple lobster tails too

I posted a thread about saltwater tanks a few months ago. Take some pics and post them so we can see.

they dont seem to be able to climb up the glass

but I have noticed that the shrimp run right up the glass, then turn upside down and run across the surface of the water

hopefully tomorrow everything will quit hiding and come out into the open

right now the lights are off, got them on a timer

be careful of the snails, they tend to get sick pretty fast and infect everything else inside... if you dont really need them, get rid of them.

i got them to kind of keep the sand stirred up, they burrow into the sand and you just see this little snorkel thing sticking up... its kinda cool

snails eh.. just hope your 10 snails don't turn into 5000.

I'm really hoping that the crabs will keep that from happening :1orglaugh

ya, that shit happened to my friend. Just saw it the other day.

Saltwater kicks ass. I used to snorkel and dropnet for tropical fish before it became illegal. The only time I had snails was in a small freshwater tank though.. and they multiplied faster than I could kill their eggs (and the ones in the gravel were impossible to kill) ended up literally throwing the whole tank out they clogged it up so much.
