That pastry shop on the North East corner of Jackson Square.
Buy a bag of Banettes, and give them away to the homeless... spent one of my more interesting nights in the city doing that. |

Just go down to the French Quarter. Where _isn't_ there a place to hear good music and toss back a few. :-) Have a killer time, man. |
But, now that you mention it, if you haven't been to Pat O'Brien's... you must go there before you leave.
|
And, slightly buzzed on Bourbon, myself - I'm now realizing that it's way past 10 minutes.
Oh well... I'm sure you had a blast wherever you ended up. :thumbsup |

Hotel Monteleone is haunted.... A boy was killed there many years ago and he now roams the halls.
(kinda like that whacky kid on the Shining) Its true... I did a video documentary on it. http://haunted.blogs.nola.com/default.asp?item=244583 I felt his presence... he talked to me and to this day... I can not go near that Hotel. |
give all the displaced porch monkies that cried the government owed them something a dollar for me
|
Just got back from NO, head over to Frenchman Street to DBA's, Cafe Brasil or the Apple Barrel ( the apple barrel has an amazing blues guy that plays there a few times a week) Also if you out on Burbon Street checkout Big Al at the Funky Pirate, that guy can really play great blues.
|
Frenchman Street is not that far from Bourbon Street...
Frenchman Street is considered the "Locals Bourbon Street" Thanks for everything... |
