Hard Time to Install Smart-Scripts
do i'm the only one or some bodies here experienced hard time to setup smart-scripts with chmod things and stuffs ?
if yes... how did you sort this shit out to makes this script works properly ? cant even get done the setup lol anyways... waiting for help/solution thanks guys ;) |
Not sure about that specific script, but if you're having trouble setting CHMOD most FTP clients (including the free SmartFTP) do it. Keep in mind not all servers allow 777 permissions, 755 is the max on some servers.
i know but the scripts download automaticly a php file wich is set as 777 chmod, but we do change this things for 755 or also 644 and its not working... i'm posting over posts on their post but seems that there's no support at all... so i decided to start asking other webmasters if there's some that experienced same troubles as me ... i was interested into a liscences but might get improved first i thinks... the setup is quite bugging like hellness....
anyone know the problem of that script that i can get it fixed ?
thanks |
They have a support board on their site. OR you can pay them to install it for you.
LOL support does'nt tell anything, and i wont pay if i dont even know if its works...
plus on their support board.. there's me online and 3 moderator, no one's answering to my issues... so means that their's no activity on their board.... :(
If you can't get to chmod it to 777 you probably can't install it. I just installed it on Thursday, and it took about 10 minutes total to get everything up.
is there any reason to not be able to install it ? everythings fine, i reached the system requirements, i did setup everythings to fit to it, i'd tried it with chmod 777 i tried it 755 and 644 i did tried to switch folder owner for apache does'nt work too...

box running onto Linux Centos 4.4
CS-Jay did you had hard time for your first installation ? or when it took you 10 minutes to set it up, was it your first installation?
.... please let me know the issue appears as some others has but kindly different everything from install.php does work, but since i'm on setup.php?install=1 it doesnt work.. its shows a blank page...
its sad it was looking like a great script
i do have this error: Fatal error: Unable to read 102924 bytes in /home/sites/client78/easyxmovies.com/htdocs/ST/setup.php on line 0
Being cheap and running on a virtualhost tends to be more of a problem than not wishing to pay for a script, or the support thereof.
why would you run a tgp on a virtual account, and the issue their is set to binary mode for setup.php
doh first of all, how do you know that is a virtual host ? and being cheap... before buying a nice new car, you would'nt want to do a test drive ?
i wont pay a damn cent to have that test drive... if the car does'nt start up... would you buy it ?

but mabe the seller ? or mecanics... its not question of keys

Plus, it's obviously a virtualhost. Unless your given legal name is 'client78.' |
as i told ya, its a tryout before bying licenses so its sames as if i was in a car store, and the car does'nt startup for a test drive

At any rate, good luck with it. :thumbsup |
read the instructions before you install it, you need to set your ftp mode to binary when transfering setup.php to your server, its a zend encoded file
never own'd a business ? if on pre-set'd box, you add a user what should it do? automaticly ? anyways... no argin needed here just lookin to resolve that issues to keep that good images of smart-thumbs i was having before using the free version as a trial
Fris... dont ya think i did'nt read'd the instructions... binary things its the first thing i switch from my FTP clients before uploading files on the server
its works well for install.php
but for setup.php it does'nt work properly about Fatal error: Unable to read 102924 bytes what i'm trying to findout it was blank before because i was staying showing error as OFF for security issues |
