I have the same except on XP and with a geforce card. It's a seriously great laptop. The 17" screen is amazing. Somebody should snap it up!

No, it is not a joke. The average price for nearly identical specs is $900, shipped. In fact I have not seen one sale for over $1,000. Although not nearly as accurate as using subscription-based tools, you can check yourself by going into advanced search, click on "completed auctions only", type in your search terms then search. You have to have an eBay account to do so.

Here is a small sample:
$840 BIN - 2.13 Ghz, 256MB Nvidia Go 6800 [which is a superior video card to yours], 1GB Ram, 17" UXGA screen, 100GB HD, etc.
$840 BIN - 2.13 Ghz, 256MB Nvidia Go 6800 [which is a superior video card to yours], 1GB Ram, 17" UXGA screen, 100GB HD, etc.
$806 - Roughly identical minus ram [had 1gb, instead of two] and probably a 5400 hard drive.
$770 - 2Ghz, 1GB Ram, 100GB HD, worse screen [I think, xtra bright].
$899 BIN - Roughly identical stats to yours, has a superior video card [Geforce Go 6800], 160GB Hard Drive.

And those are just using eBay's shitty completed search option. I can go back to six months by using several subscription tools and get an even better idea of how much stuff sales for.
