Affiliate newsletters...does anyone read them?

Does anyone actually read the affiliate newsletters they get or do you get your info in the stats section?

Stats section here. I find the newsletters annoying and usualy opt out if I get one

SykkBoy 06-11-2007 09:23 AM

We've found some read them and other don't, so to keep all affiliates as well informed as possible, we send out a newsletter, have RSS Feeds available with our latest updates and we also hit the boards quite often.

i wish to live in the america so i can become naughty too.

what is affiliate?

KimJI 06-11-2007 09:28 AM

If programs learned to keep it simple and to the point, and only include relevant news, I would read it. 95% of all newsletter are just regular affilaitespam, nothing more.

Dirty F 06-11-2007 09:30 AM

Oh man, im doing all i can to opt out from the dozens of newsletters im getting. So fucking annoying. Its easier to get removed from viagra spam than sponsor newsletters.

CarlosTheGaucho 06-11-2007 10:52 AM

I actually do time from time, for inspiration, some of them are informative and brief to save your time. I am looking forward to compose some soon.

RyuLion 06-11-2007 11:14 AM

depends what time of day it is..

NaughtyAmerica 06-11-2007 12:09 PM

I just feel that our newsletters are giving you one more thing to read that you dont have time for.

If you wanted an FHG, I imagine that the newsletter would help but everything else might just been unnecessary information.

It sounds like stats area and RS are the most efficent.

some read, some don't.. I try to keep ours brief.. I include relevant information.. latest gallery links, most recent news, any promos that are ongoing, plus I also feature a site a week (cos we have so many sites it's good to let our webmasters know what is available to them), our top 5 converting sites each week (up-to-date list), and some other bits and pieces.

I enjoy putting the newsletter together each week :upsidedow

Depends on the company, but yes, in general I read them.

mostly I skim them, reading would be an overstatement.

I also include unsubscribe links in all my newsletters.

I hate when people say "reply to unsub"

You know how many email addresses I have being forwarded to me? by the time it reaches my email client I have no clue which addy is getting the mail.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 06-11-2007 03:41 PM

i read gfy enough that i don't need affiliate newsletters...

that's sad...

F U S I O N 06-11-2007 04:24 PM

I read/skim them all

WiredGuy 06-11-2007 04:26 PM

I have my mail client setup to text only, so if I get a newsletter in html, i skip over it right away. If its in text, I'll read it.

I only read them if there is a New Site Announcement in the subject line.
