So I purchase a domain, and it winds up being previously used in online banking scam!
Hah, alright, so I'm looking at this one domain I just registered, and as i'm researching potential buyers on google i discover that this particular domain was previously used as a fake bank in one of those mass email scams...
Now is this such a blackmark that I'll never be able to sell this domain? Seriously. I'm parking the domain and seeing what sort of traffic is going to it. After having found out all of this, I'm a little bit curious if there's not traffic still coming to the domain for the mass spammage. If the domain is still getting a lot of traffic, is it's previous history enough to keep potential buyers at a distance? |

Apparently the site associated with the scam went into action during 2006. So the whole thing was pretty recent, it could have ran well into this year for all I know at the moment....

Sell it to a bank that will use it as a "If you would be banking with us, you would not become a phishing target"-Ad ;)

Sign up as an affiliate to a credit card company & slang some plastic BRO!

the domain is allstatesfinance.com. i've just parked it to see if it's still pulling any traffic from the scam, maybe i'll give the creditcard/loans thing a go. but isn't this a pretty saturated market already?
