Curious to see what your opinions are on it

Skimming can send more to your trades, but galleries without skimming equals more bookmarkers......... anyone drop skimming and see a decrease/increase ?

I'm sure you would notice an immediate decrease. In theory,and over time, you should be able to get the traffic back, with a clean gallery list and obviously more bookmarkers. But I think its a slow process although, your "revenue per gig used" maybe higher.

As a surfer I hate TGPs that skim.

I also hate TGPs that open a new window for every gallery you visit.

I was using perm links with no gallery skimming on one of my sites. It was OK, but I never saw the bookmarkers grow at a rate that validates that theory. Which was surprising to me, as I expected my "old school" site to suck up the bookmarkers from my trades with all my gallery skimming buddies. I also spoke with a few of my friends, and I found that my traffic was not in the Zilla/Shemp range of awesome productivity. So I said fuck it, and redid the site with gallery skimming. The two biggest differences I see from doing this are
1)I can now trade with some non-niche sites. With no skim, they had just shit prod, in the 0.20 or 25% range. Now they are usually around the 1.2 or 120% range.
2)I don't have to re-sort the trade layouts to accomadate a new trade. Gallery skim and random outs only is a lot easier. It lets a trade blow up without me having to babysit it for the first few days.

People ask me all the time to trade with them my answer is always NO !

I have traded before and I have noticed my bookmarkers and surfers come back more when they are not being skimmed or blind linked out.

Honesty pays even in porn ... go figure.

If you want to place a hard link to me I will place a hard link back. The people I am doing this with now has no complaints.

Except on cheatski.com where if you hitbot me I'll hitbot you back same productivity though.

Has anyone tried to skim at a really low amount. Say 90% of the time they reach a gallery and only 10% to trades.
