Uh, child porn is illegal. That is all this has to do with.

Lensman 08-27-2002 11:12 PM

CCbill and Ibill is on the list.

What's that about?

ronin 08-27-2002 11:21 PM

"investigators began looking at the financial backbone of the child porn industry."

Using there criteria, Visa and Mastercard should be on that list, too. Too much power with too little common sense.

dude..
your misleading people with your topic

they are not stopping them in the state of michigan

they are stopping them from processing payment for CP

which they should stop any processor in any state from doing

Too fucking right.

titmowse 08-28-2002 03:31 AM

the text of the article says that the billing companies were issued cease and desist orders. no arrests, no charges filed, just a legal warning. no mention that any of the billing companies have stopped processing porn transactions altogether.

Scootermuze 08-28-2002 04:03 AM

How strange this is... the billing companies are the ones who are actually selling it, yet all they get is a simple warning.

TheDoc 08-28-2002 04:31 AM

I would like to see what I-bill and CCbill have to say about it. I myself have got spam from a few CP sites and sent them over to asacp but yet have never seen one using either processing companies.

Then again it could be a case of bait and switch which is why they have not had any legal action taken agaisnt the companies. Guess it's time they wake up and start looking at the sites they process.

candidpublishinginc 08-28-2002 05:58 AM

The media are idiots as usual.

IBill and CCbill don't knowingly process for CP. If there is a CP site that uses either of those processors, they setup a legit front that either Ibill or CCbill approved.

The idiotic article makes it sound like Ibill and CCbill knowingly processed CP which is simply untrue.

God I hate the media, they ALWAYS fuck up in their reporting.
