Growing a Blog
What's the best way to grow a blog past the 5000 visitors/day mark?
Is it just a lot of persistence in submitting to link directories, making lots of posts and working on SEO? It it fancy designs? Any comments are much appreciated!:pimp |
I think that retention would be a good part of it.
Put yourself in the blog reader's shoes..... if you visit once, is there reason enough for you to come back the next day, and so on? |
the best thing to do is make sure you by the seed when it is in date then follow the instructions for planting
typically you should sow 3 seeds in a mound then water evenly just enough to make the soil moist but not saturated wait about 7-10 days for it to germinate then transplant it outside in some loam free soil that is high in acid after about 3 weeks your blog will start to grow but remember to remove dead flower heads otherwise your blog will die thanks |
wish more people created good quality blogs.. most adult blogs seemes to be just pure shit at the moment :/

Lots of water is essential to good blog growth.
Well, that and original / exciting content with daily updates. |
Here's a bump for you....
|
Lots of content... even better, lots of original content.
RSS feeds are great for helping you fill in, and beef up your blog, as long as you are careful about picking sources that will of course help bolster your chosen keyword phrases... Original content is king... Steer clear of gallery only or one to two sentence posts. Write about things people will be interested in, give real opinions and be sure you stand out from the crowd. If your readers are being fed the same bullshit they can get at a million other blogs online, why would they come to yours. Make sure people can find you... yes link directories and se submissions as usual... but get detailed... Make sure your xml and rss feeds are properly setup, and the engines, as well as sites are being pinged. Get in touch of you need a good ping list... I believe I still have one tucked away that has done very well for me on a few projects. Small things help... keep your pages xhtml 1.0 transitional compliant. Use your alt tags, and h and p tags to direct search interest where it needs to be. Never underestimate the importance of setting page priority and indexing options. Just a few things I can thing of off the top of my head, but there's always more, and good luck with the project!! |
