Anyone else have a Mitsubishi HD T.V.?
 

We have a 62" Projection T.V. and second time in about 9 months that there has been a lamp failure. The first time the lamp and some kind of fan went out and the service man kept the damn thing for over a month.

It's about 2 1/2 years old, and for the first 1 1/2 years it was hardly used. Just wondering if this lamp failure shit is "normal."

I have a samsung 61" and just happened the same to me, those lamps last two years, but fortunately you can buy them at ebay for $200.

Yeah... the lamp burned out in mine last year but I had a lamp warranty so I just drove to Tustin, picked up a new one and installed it myself

I know someone who bought a new one, watched it for about five hours. Woke up the next day and when they turned it on, the lamp was out.
I did a search on google and it turns out that it is a well known problem. Evidently the lamps suck. Search your model.
