I definitely hope to witness such an event live during my lifetime , I could only watch the really great ones on media, and here I share my choice:

one of the top 10 rock tracks ever IMO

Amongst the better concerts that I've seen, faith no more, red hot chili peppers,
iron maiden, carlos santana, pink floyd, Van Halen, Dream Theater then there's a
bunch of festivals with good acts such as "live"

But by far the best concert I've been to was a Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double
trouble concert.

btw, I think that the riff from this song originated the Nirvana start of their magic

I believe my best one was in 1989 or so at the Hollywood Palladium.

The RIP magazine anniversary party which featured a few unknown bands at the time. Later on these bands became huge and thats when the grunge scene started in Seattle.

The bands that played that night: Alice in Chains, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and a few others. It was the best concert I had been too, and at the time the Palladium had no seats and the mosh pit was going strong!

I have been to so many, that it would be tough to pick one that was "the best" but one of the most impressive was ELP at the Hollywood Bowl, circa 1972.

It was awesome, I remember when Pearl Jam played Jeremy, I looked at my friend and said that song is gonna be huge, and it made it really big.

I looked it up and it was in 1991, I was off by two years, those were the times.


Another good concert was Nirvana opening for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Los Angeles, great concert.

Freddie Mercury really stole the show that magic July '85 night...

Ive seen many, many concerts but the one of the best concerts was Tool, just last year.

Keith Emerson took keyboards to an entirely new level. He would play 8 different instruments at one time. I will never forget when he wanted to hold a note down on one organ while playing two or three others. He took a really cool knife and stabbed it in between two keys to hold them down while he moved on to anothe r keyboard. While it was 35+ years ago, it is an image I will never forget.

Don't even get me started on Carl Palmer's skills on the drums.

I went to Live Aid when I was a kid. It wasn't just a concert but an event.

When you look back decades later the line up looks horrible, but at the time they were the biggest and best the music industry had to offer.

I have never done the concert/event things because they are too freakin long... OzFest, LollaPolooza, etc, etc...

Best I ever went to was Billy Idol, opened by Faith No More. Was just after his motorcycle accident. He was performing in the leg cast, moving around on stage with a cane. Great performance... Faith No More was just becoming highly popular before they started headlining.

Best concert I have seen was TOOL last summer!

A little concert called Us Festival 1983, I think the biggest in history

Three days (plus a fourth Country Day a week later), 670,000 in attendance, $7-8 million lost.

"It was the day new wave died and rock n' roll took over" - Vince Neil, in a famous quote regarding the overwhelming attendance on Sunday, "Heavy Metal Day", at the '83 US Festival. It set the single day concert attendance record for the US with an estimated 375,000 people.

Tool last November, Pink Floyd in 94 and The Stones last summer are my best 3.

That saturday lineup above at that US Festival is right up my street though I gotta say.

I would say marilyn manson was the best for me during Ozzfest a few years back. His energy was insane and a kick ass performance!

That's insane... doubt there will be anything quite like that anytime soon
