what do i have to enter from my cron job to refresh update-feeds.php i've been trying to get this to work for a week or more with no luck now...

Use curl to run the file via the url from cron. Be careful with fwp though there is a traffic jack trick people are using.

Something like this:

curl --get -d http://www.yoursite.com/file to run

in what way exactly is the traffic jacked? are the somehow redirecting shit t their own pages or what? is there a better option than feedwordpress i should look into?

it's a redirect trick. I'm biased but I've known about the trick for awhile so ABP has the protection against it.

I'm not trying to be an alarmist, and I'm sure most people aren't using it (the jack) but the potential is there. It happened to me on an older FWP site.

FWP is great just keep your eye on sites using it.
