Fuck Epassporte for the last fucking time!
 

That's it, I have had so many problems with fucking epassporte and against my better judgment, I actually thought epassporte was making improvements . I was sadly mistaken and I am so fucking mad its not even funny.

Last night I took my fiance out to celebrate her completion of her first year at school. We went out to Claim Jumper, which has very good, expensive food. We are having a wonderful time, eat our meal, then the bill came. My next mistake not having cash on me.

I give them my epassporte card, which I have used there several times before. They come back saying its declined, I say impossible and tell them to run it again, of course still declined. I check my balance and I have enough to cover the bill. If it was not embarrassing enough, at this point the restaurant people are getting mad and want to be paid, so on the night I am taking my girlfriend out, trying to show her a good time for her hard work, she has to pay the fucking bill.

We get outside I am fucking furious, I call epassporte and what do I get some stupid foreign bitch who does not even listen to my fucking problem. I ask her why is my card being declined, she said "you are over your daily limit" and I say "I am not over my daily limit I have not spent fucking 300 dollars today" she goes "wing chi tung da lang, you are over your daily limit" now I am really mad and say "why aren't you listening to me, I have not spent 300 dollars today" now she goes "oh okay, I see let me see what the problem is, please hold" minutes later "okay sir, I see your card was declined by a Hungry Howie's a week ago because they do not accept our visa card" I said "thats not the issue, my card is not working right now, its being declined and I want to know why" She said one moment, and FUCKING HUNG UP THE PHONE. I am so mad at this point i am like laughing insane, I call back and say i was just hung up on and what does this person do once I tell the them that " one moment sir" click.... hung up on me again.

So I still do not know why my card was not working.

SO fuck you epassporte you are a mother fucking piece of shit, I am transferring the remainder of my funds to my back and canceling my account. I can not wait till someone else does what your company does, because any other business can't be run as poorly as this POS company.

i avoid this issue by simply taking out cash off the card every day.

Happened me a couple of times (not with epassporte though), cards wont work, machines are broken... now I always carry a credit card, bank card and a little bit of cash.

Anyone who has used epassporte for any given amount of time should know that you do not use it as a visa at a point of service. Withdraw the cash from an ATM and avoid all problems.

I learned my lesson 3 years ago and have not had a problem since.

You know it would be one thing if it was my debit card and didn't pay to get this card, but the fact that I had to pay to get this card, and its a POS, and it was not just that, but the lack of support given by there support team.

So true. Personally I always have some cash + at least 2 of my cards in a wallet all the time (even if I'm going to buy a bottle of beer). I can't just imagine a situation that I came to a restaurant with only one single card without at least few hundreds of bucks in cash...

Why didn't you have your real bank's issued visa/atm card with you? I would never trust the epassporte atm card to pay for meals at restaurants, if you're gonna do that at least carry a backup card with you.

split_joel, I have no idea about prices on food in the country where you live, but here in Moscow it would be absolutely crazy idea to go to an expensive restaurant with a lady knowing that you have only $300 daily limit on a card...

There are a multitude of reasons why an epassporte card may be declined - from it being an foreign card, a visa electron, not supporting avs, blocked by banks, etc. always carry around cash and a couple of other credit cards issued by other banks just in case.

Epassporte is full of crap. I never hear good things about them.
They make you bend over and they fuck you and then charge you for it to boot.
I used them once to pay someone over seas and I could never get them to pay them. After 3 week I sent him a Western union that got there the same day.
And told Epassporte to go fuck itself.
I cant believe that they are in business at all with the rep they have.

I completely agree, but like I said before I have used this card here before on more then one occasion and it worked.

Thank YOU, these cards are for withdrawing money from ATM's. NOT for paying restaurant bills. It will work in some places, others it wont. Same as it will work in some retail shops others it wont. I will not use it in restaurants, because they add the automatic Tip after a certain amount. I had that issue with Ruth's Chris about a year ago, took a while for the restaurant to straighten it out. Just curious, for all of you saying you should carry several cards and cash, is it such a ridiculous thought to expect Epassporte to be RELIABLE?

I apologize for the way the CS rep treated you and that she hung up on you, this is totally unacceptable, please email me your UserID to [email protected] then we will listen to the call and take any necessary action, if you send me your UserID I will look into your issue at the restaurant and see if we can see a reason for the card begin declined.

Their CS reps are idiots. I end up having to go through Michael every time i have an issue and he fixes it right away. Also, you dont have a bank card or any other type of credit card to pay a bill with?

its embarrasing to get a card declined, no matter how you look at it, and when its not for a good reason(your fault) or you dont get an answer right away about it, thats unacceptable

Bottom line. I use Amex and in more than 22 years never 1 decline or not working and when I have a dispute they fix it and when I broke an $800 toilet I bought on the card they sent me a check for the full amount in under a week.

Love the cash back (up to 4%) too. Just think of all of the bank interest I earned in 22 years.

Personally I don't rely on ANY card. There always could be various problems with transactions including banal bank connection failures. So having another card and cash is a must IMHO :2 cents:

I too would be insanely pissed if that were to happen to me. That's why I keep my online shit separate from my day to day living, transactions and purchases. I have a low-interest CC if I need it, but usually just use my bank's ATM card and pay directly out of my account. Just like cash.

having those support worers hanging up on me would do it right there, and epass has been told on dozens of these threads by many dozens of people that they need to do something about their support team. There is no reason in the world why Michael O is the only one there that seems to not have his head up his ass.

I tried to get money out of the ATM yesterday, but it said there were not enough funds although there was plenty in there. So, I went back today and it worked fine.

This is the only time I've had a problem with Epass, but I still would not use it as a credit or debit card when buying things. You can't use it at all ATM machines so I would assume you can't use it at all businesses as well.

I guess I'm cheap. No fucking way I spend nearly $300 on a date.

I could not agree with you more on this one Juice... Guys why are you using epassporte to pay for things like this. Get a CC that will give you rewards points and get free shit. Then everytime you have money transfered to your epassporte card transfer it to your bank account and pay the bill at the end of each month.
