Don't you know who I think I am?

Hey all, just joined the site a couple/few days ago and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm kind of new to the game but know just enough about the business to have a general idea of what I want to do.

A little bit of background on myself... Currently I work in mainstream production so I'm going to want to take some steps to keep that part of my career separate from this side (at least at this point anyway -- with porn becoming more and more mainstream who knows what I may decide to do later.) I've worked on a handful of adult sets so I'm comfortable on them and know what to expect with that part of the process. In the mainstream world I've done everything from grip/electric to working in the art department to assistant directing. Right now I'm doing production coordinating and supervising and that's the road I see my mainstream career going. Also, my schooling is in graphic design (specialized in logo design, layout and usability) and have been dabbling in photography which seems like they may come in handy in this business.

As far as my plan of attack in this business; I've got a couple domains that have been sitting around so I'm planing on putting them to use probably as a TGP site ... one in the teen niche and the next focusing on goth/alt niche. Right now I'm looking to supplement my mainstream income and eventually start producing content for one or two solo-girl sites and see where things go from there.

I've worked on a couple adult sites in the past. Neither of them of went anywhere though as I was hired onto the projects and not running them myself. Both of them were started by their respective "stars" -- one was a friend of a friend who just started getting into porn and the other was a waitress at the bar I used to work at who decided to get into stripping. We all know how flighty these types of girls can be so I wasn't the least surprised when the projects didn't end up going anywhere. The experiences were useful though, now I have some idea what to expect and what kinds of things I should try to avoid.

Anyway, that's a bit about me and where I'm going. Any advice and pointers along will be very welcome. I'm also up for helping out anyway I can; whether it's logo, layout or banner design work. I'd also be up for producing content for people -- I'm going to be looking to rebuild my portfolio so I'm willing work fairly cheap for now. I'd only be looking for something part-time right now so just don't call me for an "I need this yesterday" job. I'll be putting up some samples on one of my sites (hopefully) soon (depending on how busy my mainstream work keeps me.)

thanks.
Az
