How can I login to a dedicated server?
 

I got a new server earlier, its a loonix box (Fedora Core 5)
I have a username and password.. how can I logon to it and use it?
Yes I know its a noob question but Ive only dealt with windows servers before and remote desktop is extremely easy to use.

PS: I dont have CPanel, I have something similar but it is not advanced enough

SSH to the server if SSH service is on..

user Secure crt or putty for SSH, Secure crt is great btw

What Control Panel do you have ... You should login thru that ....

hehehe, you've been a windows programmer too long.
Get SSH, either putty client or I use the client from SSH.com.
Do not use telnet, its too easy to sniff plaintext for usernames or passwords.
