Heading to Bangkok next week and still don't have a hotel because I'm not sure what area we want to be at. We'll be there for a whole week. Would appreciate any tips, advice, things to do, places to stay...etc...:winkwink:

You have to hunt down the Paragon Ciniplex, it's the coolest movie experience ever, and make sure you get the theater with the leather recliners and free 10 minute massage before the movie. :)
And....Nana Plaza.... :) .... make sure you visit Nana Plaza!!!

We'll be there a whole week so nothing too expensive I found a lot of decent looking places for around $50. I'd love to see some temples and a LOT of nightlife. We were talking about heading to a beach area for a couple of days of our trip, our friend found a place called Pattaya, is that a good option?.

Would like to check out some of the must-see shopping but in all honesty we live in the Philippines and have been coming here for almost 3 years so we got cheap-shopping down.

i love bangkok! really a good place to shop... good food and beautiful buddhas! hehehe...

Pattaya is great for beach, only 2hrs taxi ride and about 1200 - 1500 baht for a taxi, you can get taxi from the street and usually get them down to about 1200 - 1300 but sometimes if in a rush just pay the 1400 or so hehe, nice beaches, some really nice hotels, CRAZY nightlife, TONS of bargirls infest the place tho, some it's a good thing, but i'd definately not take my family there heh (basically, no kids allowed), i actually plan to hit the beaches there for JetSkiing soon

Temples, gotta hitup Wat Po and Wat Traimit, temple of golden buddha, both are really cheap, and VERY boring (for me at least), but great for pics to show ppl back home

CHEAP SHOPPING!!! hitup Klong San, Kao San Road (very touristy), and Chatuchak (weekend market, open sat/sun), Chatuchak is awesome, it is getting more and more touristy tho, but still way cool, and fun talking down prices etc etc, but VERY hot

NIGHTLIFE!!!! man, BKK has everything hehe! where to begin!!! late late night after bars close you can hit a cool bar Spicy off Sukhumvit Soi 11 (near Qbar / BedSupperClub) it never closes i think hehe and same with Boss (late night club), open WAY late, well, Nana, Soi Cowboy, Hollywood, RCA (Slims is cool), but nightlife here is badass! you'll see that for sure

google some of those names mentioned and also maybe check out BangkokBob.net has awesome maps and some info there

75 baht for 1 hour foot massage near me right now, BUT this is part of BKK that is very much less touristy, so much cheaper

clothes, usually tshirts about 100 - 150 baht, something like that

meals, great food at like MK Restaurants and BBQ Plaza for like 400 baht for 2 ppl, awesome food!!!

being from USA it does seem to be getting more and more and MORE expensive'r for everything, i find myself fighting more and more for every 1 baht in every situation nowdays :helpme

Aight so I'll crack this can of worms. What's the "adult entertainment" options like? Heh, let me point out Shey and I live in Manila now so we're familiar w/ go-go-bars, mamasan's, and bar-fines. I've heard that the the lady-boy % is very high there. Less concerned about that as there's shit tons of them in Manila and Shey's got AMAZING gaydar. But what about the HIV'ies? I've heard it's insanely common there. What's going price for bar fine and morning after tip?

well, supposedly diseases are abundance here, i heard .ph isnt anywhere near as bad as here.........so as always, careful!!! hehe

adult entertainment is anywhere at night, walk Sukhumvit (main artery road cutting thru bangkok, LOT of tourists, hotels etc) has a ton of girls on sidewalks, wanting and willing, down every little soi (road) has little bars, then always the well known main places Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong, all totally filled with go-go bars, tons of girls, also all the disco's mostly have "pickup" girls aswell

barfine i think NanaPlaza is like 600 or so, so like $18 or something like that, tip after i think norm is like 1k - 2k, but i guess depending on the service, i've been nearly murdered for giving 1.5k for 1 hour hehe, but i'm outta that game now since i have a lovely beautiful wife :winkwink:

This place called Pattaya, is a place where no day trips are allowed. Minimum of a weekend only :) You and your boyfriend will love it, Jscott is a great night-guide till morning stikes!
