Many of you may know of us, as we've been around for some time now offering fully managed hosting. As we do hardly any advertising, all of our current growth over the past few years has been almost entirely word of mouth based. While this growth has been substantial, we want to try to get our product into the hands of some more GFY'ers to grow the word of mouth network. We're confident once you become a member of the family, you'll recommend your friends as well!

So, for a limited time we will be offering unmetered servers at unheard of rates for hosting of this quality. There is no contract, commitment, or catches other than this is one server/one port. We use quality Dell server equipment, which are behind our global IP backbone and best of class datacenter facilities. You WILL be able to max out your port speed, this bandwidth is not shared or contended for by other customers in any way. If anyone is in the Chicago area please look me up so I can give you a tour!

About our network -

We operate a global IP network with PoP's in Washington D.C., Chicago, San Jose, Tokyo, and Amsterdam. We also maintain extensive peering relationships, and operate a full 10ge backbone. In addition to over 50Gbps of peering capacity, we also maintain multiple 10ge connections to Level3, Telia, and Nlayer. All network equipment is built in a redundant matter to the customer edge, ensuring the best possible uptime. We also stock extensive cold spare network and server equipment, and thus maintain a spare part replacement SLA of under an hour.

Your servers will be housed in our central operations location - Chicago, IL. We have space both in the Equinix and Qwest facilities in 350 East Cermak, with a total cabinet footprint of well over 250 cabinets. We aren't going anywhere! This is premium carrier neutral datacenter space, with some of the best track records in the industry. We invite anyone to come out and meet the crew, as well as take a tour of our facilities.

Our support is of course staffed 24x7 by competent system administrators, as well as staff directly employed by us in the datacenter itself. You will NOT be speaking to outsourced technical support, or someone who does not care about your problem. The person who picks up the phone is willing and able to look into and take care of your problem immediately.

Answering a few questions that have come up..

1. No, we do not charge for IP addresses. Yes, we can supply multiple allocations pending ARIN justification (e.g. one domain per IP is fine)

2. The Dell 2950's actually come with 15k drives, whoops!

3. Yep, it's one server one port. We're planning some "new customer" specials based on our traditional a-la carte offerings (e.g. pick a bandwidth commit, pick whatever servers you want) in the near future.

4. Yes, you can purchase as many of these packages as you like. There are no hidden limits/limitations/etc. The servers are upgradeable as far as the hardware will support (RAM and RAID basically).

one thing i like about those guys is they actually keep an eye on the boxes.

got a call a few months back that my BW was through the roof because of a misconfig with antihotlinking.com

i've been at other hosts and i always had to notify the host when there was a prob or a box was down. had to run serversalive software and wear a beeper just so i could call the host and advise them that my paysites were down.

now i can sleep better.
