Why do black people act white around white people then act ghetto around other blacks

?

serious question,

Tyra Banks for example you get her around any white celeb or guest and she is all of a sudden miss good two shoes whitey.

As soon as a black person comes on stage she acts like she is one of the "power to the people" black women. It is like she loses her use of grammar as soon as another black person steps on stage. "UP IN HURRR" "U GO GIRL" "WATCHU TALKAN BOUT?"

Oprah does the same exact thing. why do they do this?

Michaelious 06-06-2007 10:15 AM

Theyre deeply insecure in themselves so by acting this way they feel more accepted even if theyre not.

bushwacker 06-06-2007 10:18 AM

They same reason why white people act black around black people.

nAtuRaLbEautY 06-06-2007 10:20 AM

hahaha i find this topic funny...but very much true...and i definitely agree with it...

CosmicTang 06-06-2007 10:25 AM

Tyra Banks. Okay dude, we're talking about a model here. They're not exactly known for consistent behavior. Neither are actresses for that matter.

Verity 06-06-2007 10:27 AM

Really interesting point!

I think its got more to do with the audience. You see politicians play the same game all the time - change their speech and the context of their argument to fit the audience.

It's far more noticable when it's at the extreme, such as when you're hearing public speeches and such, than in the everyday.

I've come across many a person who's changed their attitude to me as I feed them information about who I am or where I come from. I think it has more to do in relating to the group you are trying to become part of. We're all imitators afterall :)

MonsterWeb 06-06-2007 10:27 AM

maybe´s the same reason some white boys like to be wiggers like john cena who knows

KimJI 06-06-2007 10:28 AM

People mimic the behavior of the pack. Its a natural behavioral pattern shown by both humans and animals

the point isnt about models and actresses you fucking dolt.

the point is about how as soon as whitey comes around they change their behavior and then when they are around others the same race as them they change again.

like a chameleon who changes its colors, why is this?

i have black, white, asian friends and i am the same to all.

D-Money 06-06-2007 10:29 AM

You can take a person out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the person.

I've noticed with white people, depending on which of their bro's their talking to, they'll say "dude" alot around certain white people or "bro" around other certain white friends.

Then when speaking to other people they're not as close with, they don't say that anymore.

I act more white around black people and more black around white people, by the way. LOL

Chuuch!!!!

american pervert 06-06-2007 10:33 AM

why do black ppl say "ax'd" instead of "asked"

yota71 06-06-2007 10:44 AM

What would happen if a balck person aplied for a job, most likely to a company owned and controlled by whites using " Black dialect".

People adapt to their surrondings in order to get excepted.
Humans by nature are more excepting of people that closely resemble themselves. If a martian walked into your party speaking and acking like a martian would you acept him and buy him a drink?

I always tune in once and a while when flipping through to get a glimpse of her big ass tits.

Another question: Why do French people try to act Canadian when they are not Canadian? :1orglaugh

nAtuRaLbEautY 06-06-2007 12:59 PM

perhaps this does not happen only with 'color' or race differences, the point is it is a natural tendency for a person, trying to blend into a group(which appears to be new or different to him) to portray such character which is acceptable to that group or culture, for peer acceptance...?

TubeTitans_SusieQ 06-06-2007 01:02 PM

lol dont start me on this shit.....

nAtuRaLbEautY 06-06-2007 01:09 PM

but why would you have to blend into a situation? arent you supposed to just be yourself?

i see it constantly on TV in interviews, take Jamie Fox for example before he was the hilarious nugga, now when you see him he is all "serious like a white folk".

why does he suddenly have to switch up his personality just because he is now accepted by whitey he is all of a sudden mature?
