Student found her photo on porn cover

A 17-year-old Staffordshire student is taking legal action after finding her photograph on the front cover of a porn film.

The snap of Lara Coton - taken on a family holiday when she was just 14 - was being used by US adult entertainment firm TVX Films for Body Magic.

Last year Lara e-mailed the picture to an art website, which displays work from photography students across the UK, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Her mother, Christine, had taken the photograph inside their hotel room in Blackpool in 2004. She captured her daughter wearing a black top hat and black dress.

Lara, of Tamworth, Staffs, found the photograph on the front of the American porn film earlier this year after a friend tipped her off.

She said: "I was horrified when I found out it was being used to sell a porn film.''

She wants compensation for her image being used without consent.

TVX Films claims it was entitled to use the picture because Lara had put it in the ''public domain'' but has agreed to change the cover.

What kind of pic was that? If it was taken of an innocent young girl then how did it match to a cover of a porn movie?

Those TVX films people are pretty stupid if they don't understand the definition of "public domain" content.

It might be old news, but it's good to keep track of who is covering this story. If this eventually creeps it's way to FOX News, we are looking at the damaging story of the year.

I have tried to see the cover (but wouldn't post it for obvious reasons if I found it). Yet, all of the sites I have seen have a woman not wearing a dress....

People are so ignorant when they think, everything is public domain.

all she wants is a compensation from the image used, that's all! it's all about the money!

If it was a male friend, i bet he bought it to jack off to her, then got pissed when he discovered she wasn't in it... :winkwink:

yeah, that was the one I kept coming up with and made me wonder about her mother and how old she looked at 14...the other one doesn't look very porn coverish.
