SPAM Laws US and UK. Whats the difference?
 

I am a UK based webmaster and am going to be doing some email marketing, sending promotions advertising some of the big sponsors. Anybody know whether US CAN SPAM applies to UK, or what the UK spam laws are?

One was made in US and other in UK.

No, it does not apply to you. However, non-compliance of the US CAN SPAM laws may violate your sponsors TOS.

The only difference is ...if you get busted in the US they put you in jail with bunch of spanish speaking criminals , if you get busted in the UK they put you in jail with a bunch of english speaking yellow teeth brits.
