whats the best method?

flyers? posters? standard biz cards? handouts at the door w/ info on them? whats is the best form of print media to advertise in ?
branded condoms w/ my url on the wrapper? ( i cant find any place to do these cheaper than .45/per @ rate of 1.4k minimum)
printed media above the urinals?

what other kind of advertising creatives can I do or do you think would work best??

i'm not necessarily interested in the profit or traffic the bar campaign generates, more interested in the branding aspect of it.

how long would it take me to burn 500-1k cd's ? O.o I have 3 desktops all with burners lol. I guess I could hire some hot girl friend come in and just keep putting in new cd's and hit start all day.

blank cd-r's are cheap as fuck it would just be time consuming.

i'm thinking a bunch of neat creatives would be best along with a lot of printed media all over the bathrooms, bar walls and dance floor. and have the dj say the site name in between songs every now and then.

create a fake free site that is full of ads to your real site and put it on flyers or biz cards

My own experience with marketing in bars.
Depends on the Bar's ambiance and your budget. for Branding ; Coasters, napkins (expensive) and if it's a smoking bar... MAtches.
If you are looking for branding and buzz... have bartenders give out cardswith a fake log in" to a special page just for that bar. (Tip bartender a lil cash for ever visitor they get other wise why would s/he do it).
other wise have your bar owner friend contact the brew ditro to make a banner with your brand thier beer co. brand with soe message (may charge but some will do it for free (depends on thelevel of business the bar generates for the sales guy).
Branding in the bathroom works on very mild manner but if youare going to do that offer a few pics or even better . a Pic and a joke with a headline "this piss brought to you by..DOMAIN.. ;)

Honestly. $100 spent on a TGP spot would make more than $1,000-$2,000 spent for advertising at a local bar.

Pretty cheap and effective. As for condoms, matches, etc.: Keep in mind many guys are married and don't want to come home with something that has a porn site URL printed on it :2 cents:

Try to put wallpapers with your sites in the bar and maybe flyers on the clients tables

In the short term and long term the TGP spot would make more. No local bar is going to bring you more than 1k uniques monthly. I'm in a bar here twice a week, every single week for pool leagues. Every single time I'm in the pisser I read the urinal ads. There is one for boxing, one for some taxi service, one for a motor bike shop, and a bunch of others. I don't know the name, number, or website for any of them. I've been going to that bar twice a week for almost three years. 60% or more of the traffic that goes through there is regulars. So even if anyone did see the ad and remember. They're not going to visit twice.

Plus, you know when I'm at a bar I'm so horny I touch myself and think. Man I need porn right now. Where can I find porn? And then stay sober and remember the url and name for all the flyers on the wall.

But the site does not have to be fake, just enuff to have ur affiliate links tracking.

There are many opportunities, it all depends on what ur advertising budget is. As far as making CD's might as well make it the business card size CD's.

The most effective i've found is making ad spots in the bathroom/breezways of the bar.

Ad spots in mags and stuff might help as well. If they host Ads on the TV's, you might want to consider that. Also think about LED advertising.

First, branding is for Coke.

But if you're advertising in a bar, bring in some smoking hot shot girls wearing tank tops with your site on it. Pass out t-shirts, keychains, etc.

Put your money into print advertising in a local weekly alternative publication. You'll get way more eyeballs for your investment.

In fact this is probably a good idea. You could buy all the male 18+ mens room advertising in a major city.

But how useful is this gonna be unless your REALLY trying to target local traffic? i.e. your a local swingers community site?

I know the first time i was in a club that had promo girls (before then id only seen plain ol strippers in clubs) and they were walking around all night, teasing guys n flirting n basically just being top notch hoes, the next day the first thing I did was log into the site to check out the pix i'd had taken with the girls, and then the pix of my friends, and then I did download some of the free titty content that was there.

I didnt sign up, but i was looking over the promo section for about 30mins. If id have had a job and a credit card, i dont see why i wouldn't have joined.

But i suppose it depends on whether your a geek who knows how to program a website, or your a pimp with contacts :winkwink:

Make sure the bar is staffed with hot bartenders that wear shorts and a T-shirt that says "See me nude at www.sitename.com"

Then put up a couple shots of them in your members area.

That traffic will convert like no other.

I was once talking to LocalG about how he started, and one of the ways he first started getting traffic was just simply handing out flyer's to guys at bars and strip clubs and sporting events. That seemed to work pretty well for him. :)
