Looking at http://www.serverprovider.com/ for a multi-country location server set up.

Who's had experiences with Sami and these guys?

I've had a server there for a couple weeks, no problem so far, sami is very helpful

Sami works his ass off to take care of us... and I make him work for every penny he gets from us... trust me. We searched quite a bit before making a final call with our servers... and Sami won me over...

He will do very good by you.

I can recommend them. Sami and co. respond fast on ICQ if anything is needed :thumbsup

Maybe a bit heavy on cogent, other than that I've only heard good things about them.

I agree also.. I have been with them for over a year now I think and ALWAYS had GREAT service from Sami.. He has resolved issues for me all all hours of the day or night.. Dunno when he sleeps..

I know when he sleeps now... because I wake him up... to get shit done for us... and he always handles everything happily and cheerfully, and very quickly.

HAHA I think I have woken him up in the past but he always denies it.. He is sneaky like that. :1orglaugh

I have quite a few boxes with Sami.

He works his bollocks off to make sure they run smoothly 24X7. The guy is a total grafter - knows his stuff - And, waking him up to sort out a problem, however small, isn't a problem.

100% service at all times.

its all good except its a one man show
pray to god your server doesn't go down while he's on vacation.

It is not a one man show, there are many people behind the scenes you don't see im just a frontman of the operation :)

As for vacation time its my regret to inform everyone I haven't taken a vacation in 9 years of being in the webhosting business and don't plan on taking any in the near future. God forbid the day comes, we have plenty of staff to take control :)

Sami is the man and does an excellent job. Been with them for about 2 yrs now. :thumbsup

that explains why people have to wake you up in the middle of the night
to fix their stuff.

Our noc is staffed 24/7.
Our server monitoring stations are monitored 24/7, so majority of the time the clients don't even need to inform us as we are aware of the possible server problem before they are!

I had a server with them for 2 years and never had a problem.

Ive had a dedicated box for years with SP, these guys are the best. wicked support, service, highly recommended.

I've had servers there for years actually... Sami is a great guy, and if something goes wrong he'll wake up in the middle of the night and work his ass off for you.

I've never had problems getting any kind of support.

Tell us more about the cogent bw please :)

Been with them for a few years now. More than happy with their service and the their prices.

I was told they don't run BW thru cogent, while during pings my domains show cogent, cogent, cogent, cogent.... so - lie?

I was on Virtual Plan with them Lindsay, and it was not pleasant experience. heard they're better with Dedicated Server clients.

Check the current logs in Apache Server Status and you'll notice the box regulary pinged from serverprovider -

I've been with serverprovider for 2+ years, these guys are really great:thumbsup. Plus Sami will jump right in and go out of his way to help you out with any issue. That's real tech support.

I have 2 servers with em, and getting 2 more next month.

Been with SP for years, been running paysites with them on a dedicated box. Never had a single problem that they didn't put right immediately in all that time.

Bump for more SP glorification... love my boys...

First of all, COGENT is carrying a reputation of the past ... After the " provider " meltdown, they ended up with a clean balance sheet and $$$$ to invest ...
Their network is good, and can be mixed with the so-called premium ( Level 3 and others ) to make a quite decent connection.

For galleries, cogent is the best : cheap !

I probably would have to keep bumping this thread and others with my comments about Sami and serverprovider unless he answers me on ICQ or email and takes care of his shit.
