WEC MMA fighting live tonight
 

For those of you that are MMA fans they're showing the WEC event live tonight on the VS or versus channel. I dont know what that is on your local cable but it's 608 on directv. Might not be alot of people that you know fighting but its free tv MMA and you can hardly beat that.

Nice .. I'll check it out. I watched the event last night on PPV and the fights were ok but the production it's self we really bad. the sound and way it was put together really sucked. It took way too long between matches to get the guys out and really dragged on. I hope they get that down soon because they could have some good events but i had a hard time watching it. I also didn't like the No elbow or forearm while on the ground rule. I thought that was ok in CA. doesn't UFC fight in CA and use elbows?

yeah but it's k-1 and they came over from japan, just like pride didnt allow elbows. so they stuck with similar rules to what they would normally have. alot of people think the stomps should be allowed but that elbows on the ground is a bad thing. alot of the reason people think they ufc has always allowed it is because it leads to alot more cuts and bloody fights which in turns means attention, ratings, ppv buys to the uneducated mma fan who just wants to see slugfests and blood.

I love the grappling the most. some of these guys ( mostly the lighter weight classes it seems) just go back and forth with submission attempts and transitions. If you know what your looking at its amazing. I like the elbows because its a good close range attack and does do damage . it makes the fight more exciting when you have two guys that aren't as good on the ground.

alright so its starting now. mma on regular tv is never a bad thing.
