How does NATS track clicks?

Curious how this is done. I got about 50 programs i am pushing and 1/2 of them are NATS programs. But the uniques are allways alot lower on all the nats progams then the rest of the programs

it depends on the program you are using, the default nats is it counts every click, lots of programs though are now counting a qualified hit as the first hit, the qualified can be anything they want, first page click, join page click, so really it all depends on the program and how they wanna track there hits, SatanCash counts every click you send us so you know the real ratio of your traffic. Not the "What we want you to see ratio"

NATS tracks link clicks, as soon as the visitor clicks the link the hit is tracked... even before the tour is loaded. NATS also uses a very good unique/ip/session/cookie tracking system, it tracks better and does not recount clicks unless they re-click the original link.

So this really creates a more pure tracking system it gives you better unique/raw to join ratios.

With that, NATS also has a qualified click feature, which a few sponsors use for first page clicks by removing uniques from the stats.

Most people use qualified clicks for join page hits or second page clicks, which you would see displayed in the webmaster stats area.

Why would a sponsor take out the Unique hits? I'd think more info is better so why not just show Unique and Qualified clicks? Let the webmaster sort out which one is important. It's what we do. :2 cents:
