The Haavara Agreement was a pact between the Nazis and Zionists regarding Jewish emigration from Germany during the 1930's. It is the only contract between an official Third Reich authority and a Zionist organization. This agreement is considered to have benefited the interests of both parties. Haavara was intended to promote both the emigration of German Jews and the export of German products to Palestine.
As a result of the Agreement, German exports arrived in Palestine at bargain prices with the help of Jewish capital and Jewish commerical assistance. The Agreement also made it possible to settle a large number of German Jews in Palestine. Goods worth a total of 139.5 million Reichsmark were transferred by 1939. Only the outbreak of war in September 1939 ended the transfer practice.

I have listened to some of Hitler's prewar speeches and based on my translations it's unlikely that he was in favor of Jews taking over Palestine. I am not suggesting this might've prompted the Holocaust just stating my interpretation of the speeches..

Hilter hated the Jewish race since his teenage years in Austria. He had some warped line of thinking that the Jewish population controled all of the money.

I've never understood one mans belief that one race is better than another race. But man, he was obsessed by it. And with the group of people he had around him.... very dangerous.

Thank God the Russians stopped him.

His hatred was mostly empowered by the way German-Jews as a whole conducted themselves in the First World War. Throughout the First World War all sides were actively competing to win support of the Jewish population in Europe (don't know why, maybe they also had some 'warped' view they controlled a disproportionate amount of money...), and Germany did not win this competition. When the Balfour Declaration was signed German Jews begun supporting Germany's enemy in the war, and it rubbed a lot of Germans the wrong way. Sure, Hitler placed an over-emphasis on their involvement in Germany's loss in the First World War, but it is a large part of what catapulted his hatred for them.
