Anyone watch Flip this House?

Check out the Atlanta prob... I'm a fan of all the series, Trademark in SC, Mont in Tx and ATL with Leccima. Wow, had no idea Sam's co was part of a scam

Which one was he? There was a black couple with a few kids (the wife was pregnant in some episodes) and then another black couple which was the RE agent for the first couple and her husband.

I LOVE those shows. Trademark now has their own show, The Real Deal.

You can tell some of these are total set ups though - especially the 2 brothers and their wives in Austin. They'll have "meetings" one right after another where one will have a beard, then not, then have it again, then not, etc. ;)

The black couple... it's sad, very sad :2 cents:

I used to watch this show too. I'm not sure what you mean by being a "setup". Could you explain? Also, I wonder if any of the high-rollers on GFY are flippers? Would seem like a wise way to invest some money.

I mean it's not really following the way the story unfolded, they are very scripted. With this "out" it really makes me wonder about the same day/full price sales a lot of the RE companies get on Flip.

A very good friend of mine wanted to go into flipping with me - it looked good but you end up putting out a LOT of $$$ and hoping it sells immediately and I got skeered. I'm sticking with investing in dirt for now.

Watching them gives me GREAT info on what exactly to change when I go to sell my house though :)

I heard that was great, I'm going to start watching it.

One of the reasons that Trademark left the show (and a lawsuit was filed) was that they didn't want to play stupid for the camera and create a bunch of fake drama. There is enough real drama in turning houses in short time frames in tight markets, you don't have to create it.

The people on the show now are all "cast" in the roles, and the situations in the show either entirely faked or dressed up to create tension where none exists.

These people get their drama llamas delivered in bulk.
