Is it a good idea to buy 5 - 8 domains names and cross link them all. But also have contents on them, so its not just spam

Will that bring up the google page rank for these domains?

Interlinking domains doesnt work at all. its a waste of your time. go make galleries. no, really. TGP traffic RULES over SE traffic any day.

but seriously.. those who know how to work the engines do very well... but it aint as simple as interlinking a bunch of domains. As with anything profitable, those who know how, rarely share. :winkwink:

Remember that SE's know if sites are on the same IP, and will not weigh their links to each other as heavily as sites on different IPs.

My :2 cents:

Interlinking will only help you rank higher if you have similar content/keywords & phrases on those pages. But it WILL help the spiders pick up your other pages...so it definitely won' hurt you. It doesn' matter if theyre all on different IPs tho. It will definitely help if they're all on seperate IPs, but in the long run it will be more of a waste of time for you unless you can get someon w/ similar content to trade links w/ you.

Just remember...he spiders are not dumb. They already know all the tricks in the book & trying to fool them will only hurt you.

Hey...believe what you want Wildman. I have a top 10 ranking for ALL of my keywords & many in the top 3 - 5...and my main focus is on Google. All my domains have the SAME IP..but if you think you know better, then by all means you should do what you think is best.

If something works good for you keep it for yourself, there are some things I realised you shouldn't share with ANYONE because there's space only for you and of course you don't have to prove anything. I prefer to leave people with wrong impressions than helping them to compete with me. I have more than few veteran webmasters that told me they got fucked by the ones they helped them by sharing their secrets. I had different aspect on this in the near past, but it seems it only harmed me.

Google also takes into consideration the url, if you have teens on your url, you will most likely rank higher on a teen key word than someone who does not have that on their url.

Also, google does not look at meta tags, is all about text on the page, and the text closer to the top of the page is more important that, the text at the bottom.

LOL...oooohhhhh, you're good. Well, see my friend, I'm not in competition with you for SE ranking. I was simply backing up my original statement...the one you said was a load of crap. Yes, if I did have them all on different IPs I would do much better, but I don't and I was stating that you don't NEED them & I'm doing just fine. Pay attention here, buddy. I put all of a whole 15 minutes into optimizing my pages for the SEs, and move on.

Saying that you need different IPs and in different netblocks is a myth. Most SE's don't go by that practice anymore, ARIN wouldn't allow that.

As far as i can tell most topranked on google for ex 'teens nude' are various cross linking scheemers. I think i recognise the netpond guys and so on...

Its about linkpopularity....
