back up your stuff before using partition magic. If it crashes during the merge you will have to format your drive and install everything again.

I've been in IT for 15 years, it's my primary business. I've used Partition Magic alot but every time I've used it to merge two partitions it has corrupted both partitions and I've lost everything.

Better way is to move everything from the second to the first partition that you can and move the remaining to another drive/machine. Delete the second partition and then use PM to expand the first partition.

Great tip! We have run into the same situation! This is how we do it as well! Since using this technique, we have had no problems!
