                                                                                                      shared ip means no pagerank boost ... well that's the simple answer anyway. b/c most sites are shared.

                                                                                                          i forgot to mention...if you have one site that gets blacklisted or associated with a "bad neighborhood" the other sites won't be affected with when you have your own ip per site
