LCD Monitor Advice

I'm looking to get a new monitor, probably an LCD flat panel around 17" or so. I want to find a good deal, but I want a quality product too.

Any recommendations?

What do you think of this deal:

And no, I'm not buying this one: http://www.buy.com/retail/computers/...259107&loc=384

Come on now. I know you guys have more advice for me than this.

Who out there uses a flat screen LCD? Any particularly good or bad experiences?

are there any LCD flat panels that are as fast as CRTs? say i was at 85hz (anything lower and the flicker is almost unbearable), would i be able to get one that did not cause "streaks" when i use my mouse? if you've used older laptops (and most new ones) you know what i mean.

TeraBabes 08-29-2002 04:27 PM

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice, guys.... Here were are less than 4 full days later and I'm looking at my beautiful new 19" LCD monitor.

I can not believe how much more room I have on my desk!
