Who collects OLD cameras here?
 

Just curious, I'm looking for ideas or maybe someone has some dupes they'd like to get rid of.

My dad collects OLD OLD cameras, I mean back to the throw the cape over your head and shoot type cameras LOL. He's got some real interesting pieces but most of them can be found anywhere, maybe not in as good condition but they are findable.

I'd like to find him something that he would have a hard time getting his hands on, that would really be unique. I'm not really into cameras that much so I can't be sure what's unique and what's not, figured some of you old timers here would have an idea :)

I have an old Exacta VII from Dresden, I never really thought about collecting them, tho now I'm intrigued. Where do you find them?

I don't have one, but he'd be interested in this.. I found an old old camera.. made out of a heavy cardboard, at an antique shop a few years ago and there was a roll of film in it. The owner was a friend so she let me take it to try to get developed. It was 120 film.. anyway.. I got the pics back and, though a but faded, they were pics of some old folks sittin on a porch of a really old house. I'm thinkin they were taken around the 1920's maybe. I thought it was kinda neat that the film was still able to be developed after all those years.

Most of the time he gets them at yard sales or flea markets, and sometimes antique shows or estate sales. He's got some really neat shit, it's amazing how simple they used to be and still actually took pictures LOL

Yep he's got a couple of those, apparently it's a pretty common camera. But now to find one with film in it, I bet that was kinda exciting :) Coulda been retro-porn :)
