he had a day of performing yesterday that i've never seen any athlete put on before- total clown and an embarassment. the Lakers are one of the great historic franchises in professional sports and the selfish punk is making them look bad. some of the greatest athletes in history never played for a championship team, they played on sucky teams but they gave it their best and treated their teammates with respect. he's the worst finger pointer i've ever seen.

I don't think it's selfish to play for a team that sucks for 3 years, especially when they tell you they are going to build to win championships NOW, but say something different(5 years) to Phil Jackson. Then they pass up on a lot of good trade opportunities and some insider leaks to the press that Kobe demanded Shaq be traded. Then the owner gets a DUI with a 23 year old woman, etc. etc. I don't blame Kobe at all for being upset. The ownership and management sucks, mainly the ownership(Buss family), IMO. They backstabbed him and Shaq.

that's all true but there are ways to go about it rather than what he did yesterday. who was the 23 year old Buss was with? I know he used to date that hot little Latin pornstar Daisy who must have been all of 19.

Bringing back Jerry West at this point isn't going to do much, Buss won't spend over the salary cap - you can't rebuild the Lakers into a championship contender overnight. Lots of superstars find themselves on teams like that and they don't hold their breath til they turn blue like Kobe does.

he's done with the Lakers i think - they might be able to get a huge package for him of young talent for him. Lakers are going to be nobodies in the NBA for a long time whether Kobe stays or goes.

Yeah I think Kobe is done with the Lakers, unfortunately. They don't have the means to build a good team soon and I seriously doubt Jerry West would come back to this mess at his age. He left because Buss tried to screw him and he wasn't happy with the immoral lifestlye of the the Buss family and he felt he didn't have enough control. Buss seems to be guilty of screwing West, Shaq and Kobe now. I think Kobe had to pull these stunts, because there is a lack of communication to him by the ownership and management. Also, he has tried to deal with them in the past and they have been unwilling to get him help. Also, how can he trust them after they lied to him? He could have said awhile back that Buss ran Shaq out, but he didn't. He would like to remain a Laker if possible, so he probably felt that the only way to get things done was to make things public and put pressure on the Lakers organization. Maybe he learned something from what Bret Favre did, but he's staying with the Packers and Kobe is probably not staying with the Lakers. Sometimes it takes desparate measures to get things done, when all else has failed.
