That's a good wait! I was thinking how much better it would've been if I could pause it and come back later!

Shey 05-30-2007 02:07 AM

It was totally worth the 3 hrs.:thumbsup I only have 1 small complain but I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

Joe Harlot 05-30-2007 02:35 AM

I made the mistake of going to see it last saturday at 2pm. It dragged on and the theatre was full of kids talking and kicking the back of my seat all the way through.

At the end one of them was searching for his shoe I found it and tossed it down a few rows!

Oh i want to know! ;)

I've seen it last friday. It wasn't brilliant, a bit longer than necessary but I still liked it.

notabook 05-30-2007 04:48 AM

It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life.

One: Great - Loved just about everything about it
Two: Good, but lacking something that one had
Three: WHAT THE FUCKING JESUS FUCK WAS THAT SHIT ALL ABOUT?

StuartD 05-30-2007 04:52 AM

Once again, the movie that GFY walks out on turns out to be a pretty damn good movie.

I can always trust GFY to hate the ones that make over $100mil in 2 days :1orglaugh

jdc 05-30-2007 04:52 AM

pretty long... should watched that...

Scott McD 05-30-2007 04:55 AM

I still haven't seen the first 2 movies yet, so i guess i'll just catch it on DVD...

The money it makes does not a good movie make. Star Wars Eps 1-3. The Blair Witch Project. Enough said.

No, but it's a pretty good indication of what the majority of people think, at least at the time.
And GFY always thinks the opposite of what the rest of the world thinks.

viencarl 05-30-2007 05:20 AM

its a very nice movie is it really kinda boring for you? Y_Y

True. At one time people thought slavery was A-OK as well... ;)

Indeed.

Yeah, good comparison... slavery, a movie.

You're a genius.

I wouldn't say genius, though the comparison is quite valid.. albeit a bit extreme. The mentality of the majority rarely changes, they like what's "in". At one time it was slavery. Another it was the Crusades. Hell just recently, as in the last couple of years, it was for the unjust war in Iraq that has left hundreds of thousands dead. Right now it's a shitty movie with pirates in it. I'm sure people who enjoy that movie would have fit in well in the Deep South a century and a half ago. :1orglaugh

It's not valid in the slightest actually. But then nothing you say ever does make sense, you're just here to be funny. And you've achieved that yet again.

karlm 05-30-2007 05:54 AM

I thought it was well good

I don't like green socks :(

calibra 05-30-2007 06:19 AM

Sounds like it's worth watching it :)

markz08 05-30-2007 06:21 AM

it was a great movie

zeruel 05-30-2007 06:32 AM

haven't seen it yet... i guess ill catch it over weekend...

alby_persignup 05-30-2007 08:07 AM

i wanna see it coz i love the previous.

Anna_Miller 05-30-2007 08:16 AM

I loved 1, was a little disappointed in 2. I want to see it, but I will wait until DVD. 3 hours is too long for me in a theater. Home on the big screen is so much better!

CosmicTang 05-30-2007 08:23 AM

what a bore. they took away all the funny lines Depp had in the first two. The dialog was stiff, the story dragged on and on and on.

and what was up with Keira Knightley's Braveheart speech?????

do yourselves a favor and wait until someone you know gets it on netflix so you don't have to waste queue space.

The ending was a surprise, and not a bad one at that. And yes, they left it WIDE open for more.

LadyMischief 05-30-2007 08:27 AM

I loved the movie.

SxDx 05-30-2007 08:27 AM

different movies cater to different tastes. you're always gonna get about a 50/50 reaction to a blockbuster movies like this. half will love it, the other half will hate it...2c

no, it's just a good indicator of the strength of the franchise or how well it's been marketed... has nothing to do with how good a show is.

Imortyl Pussycat 05-30-2007 08:50 AM

I loved the movie! With the amount of alcohol we had in the theater, 3 hours seemed like 1 :winkwink:

_Richard_ 05-30-2007 09:19 AM

movie kinda sucked actually... i almost left when keith richards came out.. the one liners sucked really bad.. and really, the only thing it had going for it is the ship battles..

wait for dvd

Lykos 05-30-2007 09:24 AM

Thats best tittle for me ever,i love all 3 parts:)

frostyimpressions 05-30-2007 09:29 AM

The first hour dragged and was really uninteresting, but the final hours were pretty intense. And the ending did leave good potential for a fourth movie.

drjones 05-30-2007 09:36 AM

I liked it.. even though the plot gets a little convoluted at times. They went a little over the top with some stuff.. like all of the sudden jack sparrow pulls of moves at the end that would make Spider-Man jealous.. but still a good flick.

I liked the first one, but didnt love it. Hated the second one.
I thought this was the best of the 3.

Its just a good solid movie.

Verity 05-30-2007 09:45 AM

didn't mind it, but a bit too long. not one I'd rush out to see though

bopha 05-30-2007 09:47 AM

cool movie. Too long. Keith Richards not 'keith richards' enough. I admit.. I didn't get a lot of what happend but I still love Captain Jack.

tranza 05-30-2007 09:49 AM

I'm almost giving up going to the movies to see this one....

lusciousness 05-30-2007 09:51 AM

i enjoyed the movie very much...although the Jack's lines arent as funny as the first two movies, it was fairly good. The kids just ruined my day spoiling every scene and munching his snacks like crazy...

CaptainHowdy 05-30-2007 09:53 AM

No worries, I've already lost my ass crack on the movie theatre with "Return Of The King"...
