RegisterFly Domains Sent to GoDaddy

For those of you who might not have heard the news.
All domains from RegisterFly, included recently dropped, deleted, expired etc have been passed to GoDaddy. This was facilitated by an ICANN court injunction.

If you've got domains there, you should get an email from GoDaddy in the coming days.

Yeah, ICANN really should let people transfer to where they want. HAve to wonder how much GoDaddy paid...

Nothing icann just gets their asses licked... they are in bed.

tranza 05-29-2007 04:46 PM

That's a huge move by Godaddy...

lazycash 05-29-2007 04:47 PM

Well thats good news as I still have about 50 domains at Registerfly and hopefully the few good ones I have pending delete will be saved.

CIVMatt 05-29-2007 04:50 PM

so if I have a bunch of registerfly domains I can expect to find them in my godaddy account?

BlackCrayon 05-29-2007 05:33 PM

So whats going to happen to the expired domains that no one claims?

Expired domains have been locked, so in theory when the transfer takes place, they will be safe for you to renew etc

I sooo hope this is true, I have a couple of expired ones that I really would like to renew

Makingcoin 05-30-2007 04:19 AM

On the phone with godaddy now, let's see how it goes!

Well Dunn 05-30-2007 04:25 AM

this seems like a shadey deal to me, but whatever, godaddy is going to bank in on forwarding all the unclaimed domains to their fucking ppc coming soon landing page.

Makingcoin 05-30-2007 04:32 AM

They are going to be transferring the domains over starting today. You should be able to login at godaddy with your registerfly username and a new auto generated pass. Look for an email soon and then try to login.

Rochard 05-30-2007 06:58 AM

A lot of people who have had their domains registered at GoDaddy have had their domains in limbo for months now. It's horrible.

Understand that this means clients will now have the ability to transfer to the registrar of their choice and they are not locked in at Go Daddy permanently.

Any questions feel free to hit me up :thumbsup

WTF? When did I have questions?
I know how to transfer a domain. It's easy, just like spamming your business in this thread......

Quantum, while I appreciate your vigilance against spamming... Jrzeygirl wasn't spamming, just informing.

I know you are aware of how many people have been dealing with the complete ass pain that the situation with Registerfly has been, and this solution is actually a very simple solution. It doesn't change registrar ranking, and provides a temporary housing for those names that were stuck at Registerfly.

There ARE however, some points that people might have questions about regarding the process for verifying and transferring the names from GoDaddy, and this is what Jrzeygirl was trying to address... sorry if it seemed like spam, it REALLY wasn't meant to be.

We have been struggling with this Registerfly situation for our clients for months now (I know many in this forum have struggled with it as well), and are ECSTATIC that we can finally move forward with transfers, and continuing to help out our adult industry clients!

Thanks for keeping a watchful eye on the spamming though, Quantum... We'll try to keep our postings as poigniant and germaine as your own! Cheers!

Godaddy is a good registrar, never had a problem with them :2 cents:

Lance69 05-30-2007 08:28 AM

Moniker fuckin' rocks.

One question I do have, is there gonna be some sort of period where you can't transfer the domains? Like when you first reg a domain and they won't let it go for 60 days or whatnot. This seems to be a special case though. Is this what jrzeygirl was alluding too?

Your silly!:winkwink: I have been moving my domains over to Webair who I trust 100%.

:)

Pete-KT 05-30-2007 08:58 AM

Well, hopefully noone has any problems now

kristin 05-30-2007 10:32 AM

This whole thing has been a huge mess and hassle. I lost a bunch of domains, had to pay buttloads to get some back, had email down for awhile.

Ugh, glad it's all resolved now.

Z 05-30-2007 12:59 PM

GoDaddy has proven to be nothing but an unbelievable pain in the ass for me, they've been sitting on over 30 of my domains for about 6 months now. Registerfly will go down in history as a domain fuck up of unbelievable proportions.

Chris and the rest of the team at Moniker have been awesome to deal with, worked hard to resolve the GoDaddy problem and the Registerfly problem and Bari (jrzygrl) wasn't spamming, she was offering her help in a much more professional, calm and un-dramatic fashion than 99.9% of the jackasses on here. Take a deep breath next time, quantumx. The interweb is your friend. :thumbsup

Yes they're good because you never had a problem with them :winkwink:

emthree 05-31-2007 05:24 PM

I was wondering what the fuck was going on.
I'm not going to be autobilled for this, am I? It was a free transfer?

emthree 06-01-2007 10:23 AM

apparently no one cares

DaddyHalbucks 06-01-2007 10:36 AM

I use Moniker for my domain portfolio... always great customer service and pricing!
