Anyone else disappointed with the PS3?
 

Am I the only one disappointed with the PS3. I love the bluray, but, as far as gaming goes I like the 360 or the Wii better. Anyone else feel the same, or totally different?

Depends on what kind of games you like I guess.

Completely agree, I own a ps3 and xbox360 and I only use the ps3 for bluray

Resistance was a kick ass shooter. My XBox360 does get more love, but I can't say I'm disappointed with the PS3 hardware, just the game selection...which is going to start getting better real soon.

The PS2 came out 7 years ago, and they still make great games for it. So I am sure more good games are coming for the PS3. It takes a lot longer to develop a game that can have so many more features in it than a PS2 game.

I have one and never play it .. I don't play video games much. but i do use the dvd/blueray player a lot. I guess if a few games i like come out I'll play it a bit.

I guess I'm just impatient. It is absolutely amazing what a huge selection of games the PS2 has, so I think I was just spoiled by Sony. I will have to give them some time. In the meantime I will continue to wear out my XBox 360.

My kids ended up wanting the Wii instead...well, i started playing and I actually enjoy it more than the PS2...hehe

the games are simple, but are fun in the way the old Atari 2600 games were...

I have a feeling the novelty of playing mini games over and over again will wear off, and then people will get sick of playing games that look and play like Gamecube titles.

I love Wii Bowling. Like the PS3, there's not much in the way of top tier titles at the moment.

Console games still can't hold a candle to the fast paced more option PC Games

I think you'd be surprised. This one plays the same on both setups, with no real edge to playing on the PC.

Many 360 titles are axactly the same as the PC release. F.E.A.R. on 360 for example is like playing the PC version with all the options maxed out.

What surprises me is the number of 1st person shooters only coming out on xbox or ps3 and not pc.

I can't think of anything more painful than playing a 1st person shooter on a console, and even tried it with halo2 .... but after playing halo1 on the pc I just gave up. It was the most frustrating gaming experience I have ever had :(

Manhunt 2 and GTA 4 coming soon tho....I wonder what Manhunt 2 will be like on the Wii tho...with all the strangling with plastic bags and such..put those motion-controllers to good use...

I'm sure it won't be the same game as the PS3/X360 version, but it is slated to come out on the Wii too!

I still prefer PC too overall. But PS3 looks hot and the titles will grow! It's a solid contender in a year tops!

By the time x-mas gets here there will be plenty of games for the PS3. Hell it's only been out for 6 months. Can't compare Wii to the PS3. That's like comparing a Atari 2600 with a Wii. Completely different game systems. One is next gen the other isn't. Compare apples with apples. Anyways the 360 is close to being taped technology wise. Rememebr you can only fit 9 GB of data on a single 360 disc. With a PS3 you can fit 50 GB. Developers are just getting use to programing for blu-ray and maybe have used 20% of it's potential. I think in a couple of years the difference between a PS3 version of a game and 360 version will be dramatic. Or they could be the same and you'll just need to use 5 discs to play the same game on a 360. Sounds like fun.

I love my ps3, I just hate the online (which hopefully will be developed further) and the lack of game selection sucks. But burnout will be released shortly and I will stop caring :D

My boyfriend bought the PS2 solely for the purpose of playing GT4. He says the only reason he'll buy a PS3 will be to play GT5 when it comes out. Personally I'm happy with my Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, and God of War.

The Wii is damn fun, but I can't bring myself to shell out for a new system at the moment.

The bluray is the only thing I use it for right now. I have more fun with with my 360 eventhough I'm on my second unit now. (First unit died on me):Oh crap

I'm still waiting untill the PS3 price drops over here, and some decent games come out for it.

There's no rush to get one just now...

I think that the PS3 will have a strong future, I have all 3 of the newest systems and each one has it's strengths and weaknesses.

Just give the PS3 time, the great exclusive games will come out in time.

One of the things that sucks about the Wii is that there are so many games that have been previously released and are only the the Wii just to have the new controls (Like with the nunchucks). Like I really wanted to buy the new Prince of Persia game for the Wii but I was told it was exactly like the previous Prince of Persia. **sigh** Which was a great game but I'm not going to buy it just to play the same game I've already played and beaten on the Wii :(
