    My Moms New Music Videos :-))))

    Deeprub recorded my mom tonight at our cookout..

    My mom wrote the words too, played the guitar and sang too both of the songs below....

    Tonight was the first time I have ever heard the 2nd song.. I really like it though..

    I am proud of her :

          First off. I hope she did at least a poor mans copyright on those before she put them up. Poormans copyright is basically you go and get a notary to verify a document with your lyrics and signature stating the date the song was written etc. You include the lyrics and a copy of the song and you then send it registered mail to yourself and leave it sealed. The first song has really good lyrics, great melody and a good hook. My only suggestion would be to shorten it by about 40 seconds if she wants to try to get it published. First song is pretty commercial, and she would have a chance of getting it cut by an artist. Second song is also good, but a bit folksy to be commercial.

          Her voice is beautiful, and you can tell she has performed a lot for other people in her life.

              I dont know exactly what my hubby did.. but he had it " time stamped " some how as well.

              When we were kids she won the Nashville Country Music Songwriting Award..

              The promoters wanted her to go on tour and swore she would make it BIG...

              BUT...

              she had 3 small children and was a single mother.. so she turned them down...

              she did not have to turn them down... she did it for us kids

              I wish more than anything now that I could help her get back into it again.. it makes her so happy

                  Just an FYI I live in Nashville because of that reason. I took 3 years or so off from writing, and just started having co writing sessions again a few months ago. My co writer and best friend just got his first cut. Hit me up on icq if you want to hear it and Ill link you. It was cut by Tommy Joe Wilson a new artist and his album will be launching in a few months. His cut should be the 2nd or 3rd single released on the radio, so its a big deal for both of us if you know how Nashville works. Takes a hit to get you in the door hehe.
