Why does everyone use ICQ?
 

Why in adult does everyone use ICQ? It is the only community I've ever heard of that uses ICQ. Because in my opinion MSN messengers is alot better (perhaps not the newest versions they suck, but the general concept).

Why does no one use the search button?

I use msn for private, and icq for biz. But I like msn better...

I would rather not use ICQ at all, but because everyone work related wise is on it, i have to use it...

Yeh I think ICQ sucks ass from a straw - sorry about not searching, I wasn't exactly determined to find an answer...

icq... or rather iChat on the mac... sucks balls. Most of the time I can't add peoples numbers....

cuz its been around since like 12 years ago. And all the big boys are still using it.

I noticed some webmasters are starting to use Skype. I use it myself.

messenger is made to chat with your girlfriends who likes it when you send stupid roses and wave at them - shrug!

icq - at least the old version I am running do not interpreted : ) as a smiley and that is what I see as a good thing in icq.

Anyone know a site to download icq version 5.x in Engish/U.S.? They're only promoting the 6.x version these days and it won't install on my laptop. Non-English/U.S. versions of 5.x are available, but I'm only just starting to learn German.

Adult webmaster have been talking to each other online for 10-12 years. Back then ICQ was the shit. It was a great improvement on the first decent chat client PowWow. Computer geeks and hackers have been chatting online even longer and they still all use IRC.

Once a standard is established, it's hard to adopt a new one.

I've used icq for the past 6 years or so...done with that POS now. I just got another new laptop and set it up with the newest trillion which is much better :thumbsup

Why would you refuse to use it? For most people in this industry that would probably be detrimental.

And the standard icq software does suck, if you don't already use third party software for it then it might change your perspective.

I hate msn. I rarely find someone who's using msn.

ICQ is ok but sometimes some problems occur I prefer to use SKYPE . . .

I like both ICQ and MSN messenger, but from my experience it has only been good for personal stuff... It seems most keep their messages a little too short for my taste and I'm not sure how others business types manage with it.

ICQ's my fave, personally.

AIM/MSN is internet standard.

ICQ is the Adult standard. Adult is always behind on everything. People did at one time use icq before they noticed what a POS it was. I give it 2-3 years and adult will be with the times on messengers

I don't see what the big gripe is. Who care about all the features. It's for chat. That's just text. It's not a problem. Use it for the tool it is.
