Sometimes members know best... [pics]

A while back we published a studio set (in color) - and one of our members emailed us to suggest they'd look much better in stark B&W.

Lo and behold the dude was right, I had to agree (hey, who was I to question those who pay the bills, right?) :winkwink:

I agree..something about b&w makes the pix unique..nice job

Kevin Marx 05-28-2007 05:48 PM

not to say anything bad about these shots.. cause they work...

But in all honesty.. if you take a decent color shot... go b/w with it... usually kicks it up some.. gives it that fine art feel. Unless of course everything you shoot is b/w.. then it's just normal. It's also a great way to save a shitty shot. Can make a bad pic lots better. Because you only have two colors (or lack of) to work with rather than a whole palette

Beautiful pics...

Very true.

The color versions were quite good to begin with, but I guess the guy just noticed they loaned themselves better to B&W (the lighting and contrast was good).

I tweaked them a little after converting them, which also helped.
