I think there are no actual tutorials for creating headers and footers. Designers have their own creativity while designing a header + footer. What you can do is take a couple of tutorials and mix them a bit. Good luck

How about a nice tutorial to develop my skills for creating TGP?

Sceen capture a TGP that you like and open it in photoshop. Then attempt to recreate the site on new layers with the site as the background.

If ya have $25 to spend go to lynda.com sign up for a month and download all the Photoshop lessons. They are taught by the number one Photoshop Guru. There is nothing out there that will teach you Photoshop faster or more in depth.

The first chapters of each tutorial are free so go check them out and see if its your style of learning.
