AFFILIATE Sponsers that promote other AFFILIATES?

Ive been doing affiliate promoting for about 9 months now and its still a learning process, so now I stumbled up on something that has me concerned

One of my sponsers has a member site, 100% original content. But this sponser also has referral links to some of the same sponsers that I promote. Yes, you read it right, a member site is promoting other members sites for an affiliate commission on the OUTSIDE of the site. Meaning that, if I send targeted traffic to this sponser's program and they choose not to purchase from the members portion of the site, they could eventually leave that site through that sponser's referral code, not mine. And for the same program(s) Im promoting at that.

It has been brought to my attention that this is a traffic leak because I could be loosing a potential referral sale to a MEMBER site that shouldnt even be promoting other affiliate programs in the first place.

What do u do?

I hope this made sense, but Id like to hear yall's input.

If your sponsor is PPS shit no problem you got paid however, if it's revshare don't promote them that's all.

Make sure your cookie cannot be overwritten would be my recommendation

Oooops, hope that wasn't me, I put up a new tour last week (actually an old tour that i'm trying again) and just realized I had a links page down the bottom. Anyway I've removed it just in case....:winkwink:

Ps why not just email the program and tell them your not happy. If I got an email from you I would have jumped on it straight away....

There should not be links to other paysites on the tour, regardless if it's pps or revshare.

No outside links, them be called traffic leaks and are a big no no.

I do that...However, affiliate traffic goes to a traffic leak free tour...But on the typein tour, I do what I want.

:helpme How can I make the cookie so it cant be over written?:helpme

Also, I know the sponser personally through another friend/sponser. This is the deal, Sponser A owns/has control of the CCbill accounts for Sponser B & C and his own. If I remove sponser A from my site due to the traffic leaks, that sponser will cancel or decrease my 50% revshare to damn near zilch for all 3 programs, even though Im only making good money off sponser B & C.

Im basically getting extorted to keep one site up when I dont make money off of it and loose a good % of referral sales to it possibly.

Can something be done?

It wasnt you, lol...

Im referrring to some lesser known solo shemale sites that are ran by the actual trannies themselevs. No company, no pro-designers. We're talking home made porn here. Sponser A, B, and C are all different trannies and work on their sites seperatly, but Sponser A has control of the CCBILL accounts and forces other affiliates to promote his site (with leaks) in the event that he will cancel/reduce the commission from the other 2 sites, which have leaks too but sell better.

So it would be easy to say, fuck your program and go to hell, but then I would loose 3 programs, not just that 1.

Those all sound like pretty common things on alot amateur sites. Since they're small, you should email them and ask about a leak free tour, especially if you're making decent coin with them.

But always look at the bottom line.

Thanks. This came to my knowledge AFTER contact was made. I removed the affiliate from my front page due to a lack in sales then my commission was dropped down for that site. I didnt mind that, but the commission was dropped down to another site I promote, different shemale, but the shitty sponser has CCBILL control over the sites. So, changes are made at will with no type of rational thinking applied.

Talking is out of the question. Im basically forced to promote a heavy leak site so i can continue to make the good money off the other 2 sites. From what ive found out, her referral checks are huge compared to us affiliates out there because she's making referral money off people who we send that choose not to buy her program, but leave buying someone elses. Its bad enough a visitor doesnt buy, but even worse if we're diverting our referral sales to a member site. We might as well change out fucking codes to hers if thats the case!

Welcome to the innerwebs. Most sponors do this and have been for years.

SkeetSkeet 05-27-2007 06:28 PM

the tour is totally different than the members area ... no links on the tour is a must these days
