How does everyone stay focused?

I have like literally 12 different projects that I'm working on now, ideas come faster than I can possibly get them completed, which results in leads being all scattered around, which further results in me becoming stressed and back to playing World of Warcraft.

How does everyone deal with this?

no problems as i have no ideas

More Booze 05-27-2007 06:33 AM

outsource people from india and let them work with some of your ideas.

Listen staying focused is simple. You concentrate on the subject at hand and........ hold on funny commercial on tv..........

Ok as I was saying you just have to concentrate and.... fuck brb think the kids just spilled the milk downstairs..........

Anyways as I was saying concentration is KEY and..... shit brb new baby is crying.......

Ok so anyways you must concentrate FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS!! 1 sec icq is lighting up now.....

Ok so focus is simple just apply yourself and.... shit that pic of Raven just got me hot, brb need to run one off.....

Eh anyways Ill finish this post later someone is at the door... :Oh crap

Well, you could start by NOT playing WoW...

u-Bob 05-27-2007 07:30 AM

get a midget to poke you with a stick every now and then.

paymeback 05-27-2007 08:00 AM

delete WOW for starters

Violetta 05-27-2007 08:18 AM

Make a plan. Write down what to do, and when to do it. Dont make the list too long. And make some time for Wow. And sell off those projects that doesnt make you the most money.

My work day is 80% at home, so I use to find it very hard to focus. Now, I set my alarm at 9a everyday and work til 3pm with a two 1hr breaks for my personal computer stuff and eating. I treat it like an office job, if I am late for work one morning, I work longer (which means I have to miss my soap so I try never to lose my focus). Then I make a 3day weekend once a month to catch up on my gaming (currently Total War).

I have a lit of my goals that I want to accomplish on my bulletin board.

I try not to have too many things on the go at once I try and focus on thing at a time and I try not to freak myself out when something is not complete in one day.

I got school, buying a house, buying a car, vacations and a whole bunch of other things in my life keeping myself busy where I just need to stay focus on taking care of that things I want I can't really dip into drama or other things that just don't matter.

but when I need a break or relax time its a few hours at the spa, or playing sims2 or diner dash then its right back to the game plan of getting those things accomplished and having a lfie coach to keep me movitvated along the way.

Hire others, just enough of each job so no one person knows entire project if your paranoid.

And I stay focused really simple, I get these things in the mail called bills all the time.

Contra 05-27-2007 01:34 PM

I have the same problem, but I seem to have it mostly under control now. I decided to follow the money. So the project that earns the most gets my attention.

It's short term thinking that will lead to better things
