Car prices are insane down there. Buying cars in the US is so attractive right now with how strong the CDN dollar is.

Very few people get those rates. Very few.

The advertised rates are for people with PERFECT credit scores. I leased a VW Jetta and the 2.9 advertised rate was completely unreachable. The sales guy even said it is "Sleazy" how VW advertises it considering no one he has sold a car to has gotten that rate.

Depends on the brand and the place where you lease. Anyways if you're paying more than 7% you could get that with your bank instead.

Every dealer in the country was doing whatever they could to get rid of trucks, meaning insane deals. Some still are. Last year was a bad truck year.

the lease on my benz is $1250 a month. comparable cars advertised on US channels are going for the $500-$600/month range.
