chuck liddell better get his head knocked off again. the rest of the card is garbage, rampage isnt as good as he used to be. i'd like to see him give another ass whooping to chuck, but i get the feeling it might not happen unless he's back in real good shape and ready to rock.

oh yeah and i've got more boneless chicken wings here than the law should allow one man to eat

amateurcanada 05-26-2007 07:55 PM

not sure about kfc man, those big crunches and poutine make me violently ill yet the salty pleasure of the 100 spices makes me salivate.. lol kfc junky..

i hope buddy taps out - liddell kicks ass and has more experience.

what a bad showing tonight

Lance69 05-27-2007 06:00 AM

Chuck got KTFO. And that whole card was awesome.

Anthony 05-27-2007 07:16 AM

American Top Team won all 3 fights.

Kalib Starnes
Din Thomas
Wilson Gouviea

Chuck getting his head taken off was just the icing on the cake. :)

peeperpimp 05-27-2007 07:43 AM

ah man I felt jipped I didn't order the fucking thing cause of the card in its self it wasn't worth it, just ordered for the main event and it lasted less than 2 minutes a few hits and that was all she wrote... I've seen better at NON payperview ufc programs

you wait and order it for one fight? nearly all ufc pay per views are garbage honestly, this one was no different. other than the satisfaction of seeing chuck get knocked out the rest of the card was like watching amateur mma at a local warehouse.

Ross 05-27-2007 12:13 PM

I had a KFC today. Love it!

Anthony 05-27-2007 06:34 PM

One of the better UFC's as of late.

The talent in this card was excellent, I know most of you noobs don't know all the fighters, or even a handful of them that hasn't been sheep fed to you by Dana White. But you will.

Anyone fighting in the UFC is there because they can fight. Most arm chair cage fighters don't have a clue what training MMA is let alone judge a fighter's skill.

So true. I was on my feet almost the whole time! The Parysian/Burkman Fight was fuckin wicked, and I loved when Din Thomas called out the Boxing world to either fight or shut the fuck up! The main event..... we recorded it an watched it over and over and over! The whole card was wicked. Anyone who thinks otherwise is talking out thier ass. :2 cents:

I've complained as much as anyone about the lack of good matches at recent events, more that they have a lot of talented guys and where are they?

The name recognition of former Ultimate Fighter competitors seems to be what they rely on ... however, this card had some excellent matchups and for me, didn't disappoint one bit. Of course, Liddell/Rampage going a little longer would've been nice :)

I ate a tuna sandwich and watched the Liddell/Rampage fight the next day on youtube. Damn, sometimes those UFC matches are a coin flip. Whoever gets in 1 lucky punch first wins.

Kevsh,

Yeah, I really wish they didn't start off with Kalib and Leben. But they did primarily because of the TUF brand. Don't get me wrong, Kalib trained at American Top Team specifically for this fight, and is a really great guy. But a fight that wasn't a " Loser gets kicked off UFC" would have been better.

It's a catch 22, Vince McMahon said it best, it is hard to keep UFC brandable, because of the inherent chaos of MMA. When they had Tito, then Chuck to market for their 4 and 5 title defenses respectivley, they built up a brand. With the influx of the new PRIDE fighters coming in, it's going to be even worse. Did you hear the booing at Rampage? Unreal.

I'm excited for the future of MMA, I'm not too excited about idiots last night who sat down next to a table of MMA fighters and started spouting off he's trained 10 years in this shit. When we asked where he was nebulous, citied some Sensei Brown shit in Atlanta. My buddy closest told him we all train, and that the guy on the video was my teammate (Din Thomas). He then retracted to 5 years training in it. The best was when he asked, drunk, "Why do they do that position, does it even work, what's it called?"

Din had side mount.

I'll be a lot more excited for the future of MMA if the K-1 Dynamite card comes off without any snags. Even though I love UFC and Pride I still want to see more competition so the fighters have more options and get paid accordingly.

I'm thinking the same thing, but I'm looking towards BoDog myself.

Even the IFL, while loosing major ground, is a vast improvement.

I'm really digging on the fact that BoDog is focusing more on the female fighters this season. The quality of female MMA fighting has really improved a lot in a short period of time. Back in '99 I used to drive to Dan Severn's school in Coldwater, Michigan on weekends to train from Dayton, Ohio because it was the only place I knew at the time. Becky Levi was the head trainer and she was a freak of nature. At the time there were absolutely no women for her to fight unless she went to Japan, and even then she had to take pro wrestling bookings to make any money.

I was shocked. I thought a guy like that UFC fans would love, regardless of the fact he beat their hero. Totally classless.

Din's great. I was pulling for him to win UF4 and missed his loss to Lytle when it was on... and missed most of his fight last night, but glad he won.
