I love my Escalade...but if you gonna drive regularly, expect $200-$300/month in gas.

i really do not get the whole euro SUV look, i simply cannot stand them, you are paying $60k + for an SUV that looks like a RAV 4, they toss on a benz logo and in and people are suddenly wowed.

that is just my opinion each to their own.

i would go with the new navigators. but u can never fail with an escalade or a denali imo.

range rover is just what u need ;]

Stand the GL450 next to a RAV4 and u will see a hug difference. One being that the MB is as big as an Expidition/Yukon/Navigator.

so it is a big RAV 4 then what is your point? look at this, you are going to tell me they are not similar? they are basically the exact same. euro suvs are ugly imo.

if i were to photoshop the rav 4 black and put a benz emblem on it you would probably also say it is nice, and probably would not even notice the difference.

but you can't sit 6-8 ppl in a range rover which is what he is looking for.

where did i say for him to get a range rover? i just said it was the only euro SUV that is nice.

You are entitled to your opinion but for value I will take the MB over the Ford/Lincoln or GM. Resale value will also be better on the MB.

as are you, i am not trying to cuss it out i just really do not see what people see in these euro style suvs, people have different tastes and i respect that.

but you really cannot deny the fact they look like a rav 4, and i do not care about all the bells and whistles at the end up the day you are paying $60k+ for a suv that looks like a rav 4.

i understand resale value but i dont go out and buy a car and worry about how it will re sell, i go out and spend my money on something i enjoy driving.

anyway each to their own, the discussion on vehicles always interests me. :upsidedow

look at those 2 pics i posted above are you going to tell me the benz does not look like a pimped out rav 4? it is like almost EXACT.

euro suvs are for wives with rich husbands, u buy them one of these suvs because they cant handle a real one, so you buy them these girl suvs so they can still feel safer on the road.

if you are buying an suv for your wife then i would suggest it.

I do NOT think the RAV4 and the GL450 look alike. Similar shape sure but so are a lot of SUVs.

For that size, take a look at the Tahoe. I love my Cherokee, but it's a 5 seater. I HATED my 7 seater Explorer. Biggest POS ever.

- Ford Explorer (mid) or Expedition (full)
- Lincoln Navigator (full)or Aviator (used, since theyre discontinued)
- GMC Yukon or Yukon Denali depending how ballin' you are (full)
- Cadillac Escalade if you're into that but it's a lil too gussied up for my taste (full)
- Nissan Pathfinder (mid) or Armada (full)
- Jeep Grand Cherokee (mid-sized)

Dodge Durangos kinda fell off but they are still nice

Around my area Range Rovers are the 'sassy' thing to do it seems. If you want to drive and SUV and act like you are money... that is what you do. But quality-wise, they aren't worth their fake prestige.

men usually look like douchebags in those range rovers and mercedes suvs and stuff unless you're a rapper or something which you're not

not saying it is not nice but i think my point just got proven again.

We just went through this process in buying my wife an SUV. I drove 12 different models of SUV and ended up getting her an X5. It's a great ride no doubt but I agree that it's a little on the femme side.

Personally I have an Escalade, and in driving all those SUV's in the last few months, my Escalade was still my favorite out of them all. I did like the full size Range Rover in second place but you're not going to fit 8 people in that bad boy ;).
