calling all gamers!
 

i am upgrading my pc today, and wondering what a good video card is.

the one i was going to go with is

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Superclocked / 640MB GDDR3 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card

wondering what card you recommend.

little info about my upgrade, that might be handy

4 gigs of ram
core 2 duo e6600

Get a good fan, mildly OC your system, you shoud easily be able to get the 2.4ghz to 2.67 that's where I run smoothly with a crappy MB.. Some people have theirs over 3ghz so that's pretty safe.

The GTS should be fine, unless you wanna blow loot on the 8800.

Apparently the next gen is going to be really nice, but there's never a good time to buy. It really depends on what game you want to play.
