CMS SHOWDOWN: Which CMS is your favorite, and why? (Drupal, Joomla, or Wordpress)
 

I haven't wasted my time with Drupal. I get the feeling that many of you use Wordpress, which is more of a blogging script. Joomla is more of a full powered content management system. I use Joomla for all my sites now, including my latest one joomlawebmasters.com

Which CMS is your favorite?

all 3 of them are bloated, but it depends what you are using them for, wordpress out of all 3 because of all the plugins, i have my own custom cms i use thats lightweight, only uses 6 sql queries for the main index, and 4 for pages.

I love Joomla. Used to be a Postnuke user, but Joomla won me over.

Looks like that turned out to be a successful venture.

wordpress for blogs

joomla for anything else

i wouldn't call wordpress a cms though

Joomla is my favorite but if Wordpress is to be called a CMS I would say it wins the award due to it's amazing selection of useful plugs.

I learned with mambo/joomla. I stick with it because I have already written a bunch of my own componants and modules.

I've messed around with Joomla a bit, but I've never really needed that much flexibility for a site. I mostly use Wordpress and Snews.

Drupal all the way.

I am still hacking away with Joomla.

Like Fris said 3 months ago Joomla and Drupal are over stuffed with crap most people don't need.

I also have a custom solution that I built myself. No better way to learn PHP then to create your own CMS.

Even though its on the joomla forum, it leans drupal.

JOOMLA JOOMLA JOOMLA!!!! I'm currently using it on my site. Makes updating easy!

WordPress will do anything. I'm pretty sure you can pay a half-assed programmer and he can modify the tables to run a complete paysite.

I like wordpress, with drupal as 2nd.
