What Beaches in the World Allow Alcohol?

I know here in Pacific Beach (San Diego) we are allowed alcohol (in plastic containers) on the beach. I am curious what other beaches allow this.

candyflip 05-23-2007 12:07 PM

We had a keg in the back of a Suburban on Daytona Beach. Not sure if was legal or not, but we did it.

bobby666 05-23-2007 12:20 PM

never heared that alcohol is anywhere forbidden on a beach
..ok i am from europe .. here are only weapons forbidden

KILL_FRENZY 05-23-2007 12:21 PM

Most european beeches are allowing alcohol:thumbsup

CosmicTang 05-23-2007 12:22 PM

Siesta Key beach in Sarasota Florida. Drive up, drop off the keg, and bury it in the sand. No problems.

Then when it floats, stumble over to the Daquiri Deck or The Beach House.

Easy.

jonesonyou 05-23-2007 12:23 PM

my sandbox beach allows alcahol....aslong as mommie doesnt see me.

BVF 05-23-2007 12:25 PM

puerto rico's beaches allow alcohol.

CDSmith 05-23-2007 12:28 PM

Every beach I've been on in Mexico allowed booze.

In fact you can have a little Mexican kid hand-deliver you your beers/drinks for a small fee right to you.

I was gonna tell about Mexico, I live there. Alcohol is ok in the beach. Actually I'm going to Kino Bay this weekend.

Wizzo 05-23-2007 12:30 PM

I don't think I've ever been to a beach that didn't... :pimp

Darrell 05-23-2007 12:40 PM

I am in Europe as well and I've never heard of a beach that doesn't allow alchohol.

bns666 05-23-2007 01:05 PM

yeah what kind of beach would be a beach without beers :)

jesse_adultdatingdollars 05-23-2007 02:27 PM

I probably should have asked what USA beaches allow alcohol. Since most of the rest of the world allows it on all their beaches.

BVF 05-23-2007 02:29 PM

PR is a us territory....Come on down, fill your cooler with beers, and set up a beach chair and reach in your cooler for all day refreshment.

But I don't see the point of drinking on a beach...It's too hot for that shit.

mattz 05-23-2007 02:32 PM

Here in Marco Island, Florida, I've never had a problem drinking beers at the beach. Glass Bottles also.

Phoenix 05-23-2007 02:32 PM

in canada it is punishable by death..er i mean fine

in Korea you can walk into a mall drinking beer and no one will even look at you

SxDx 05-23-2007 02:36 PM

technically, i dont think that you're allowed alcohol on ft lauderdale beach, but as long as you dont bring bottles or litter, the cops will turn a blind eye and won't bother you.

dynastoned 05-23-2007 02:51 PM

mexico does.. we'd take as much as we could carry down to the beach from the hotel bar.

LiveDose 05-23-2007 03:01 PM

I dunno, every beach I've ever been to I had alcohol in the open.

miss_twisted 05-23-2007 03:30 PM

I just cracked an India beer right now....However, I'm in the house in front of the air conditioning...Unless I'm at a beach bar or restaurant, I can't see the point of drinking something that raises your body temperature even more. And I drink beer ALL the time...but on the beach, I can only drink water or a sweet fruity non-alcoholic drink.

And when I meant "ON" the beach, I meant sitting out on the sand with the sun beaming down on you...

gimo33 05-23-2007 03:52 PM

there are beaches that doesn't alcohol?!.....

Quite correct. No drinking on beaches, no drinking in public areas whatsoever. Drinking is okay at one's campsite within campgrounds that allow it, but you can't wander down the road to another campsite carrying booze.

A lot of people do it, but a lot of them get ticketed as well.

nico-t 05-23-2007 04:48 PM

same here, any beach i been in europe allows alcohol... never even heard of beaches that dont allow alcohol til now...

Siesta Key is the best beach in the country, the sand, water are incredible:thumbsup

TubeTitans_SusieQ 05-24-2007 12:10 PM

no ones ever said anything to me on any beach i've been to, as long as it isn't in a glass container, it should be fine but i've done that also.

tranza 05-24-2007 12:29 PM

I think it's only forbiden in US beaches.

wyldworx 05-24-2007 12:36 PM

The best beach. I love spending evenings on the beach then heading out after. Great place.
