For those of you that are in Ontario have you purchased your 649 tickets? The drawing is at 20 mil :)

JayDeeZee 05-23-2007 11:43 AM

I only buy them when the jackpot gets that high.

Thanks for the reminder

Your welcome, I do the same thing. I usually wait until its 20 million or over before I buy any. The chances of me winning are slim but you never know and of course the prize would be a lot nicer then the 5 million it starts off at.

CDSmith 05-23-2007 12:25 PM

Tonight's drawing is actually 25 mill.

I'm in.

CDSmith 05-24-2007 09:17 AM

No winner. Up to 27 mill for Saturday.

My existing ticket ($30) is good for 10 draws, so I'm still in.

Wrong. 1 winner for the $25million. These large jackpots are for peeps that didn't claim their winnings within a year.

$27mil for Saturday! :thumbsup

I have never bought a lottery ticket, the chance of winning is to slim to bother wasting money month after month on it.

I bet many people do that, thus reducing your odds of winning... :upsidedow

starpimps 05-24-2007 10:41 AM

you jacks in ontario always win
649 needs to share some love in the west coast

Yeah, I'd say for every rollover theres at least 500,000 more ticket purchases

Randyyy 05-24-2007 11:38 AM

dude did u ever find a job??

mattz 05-24-2007 11:39 AM

20 mil isnt that much for a jackpot, around here the jackpot gets up to 150-200 mil, normal is around 100

50% tax.
Canadian lottery is non-taxable. So it's 20 mil walkaway.

My mistake, you're right. I missed this page on the site... http://www.wclc.com/lottery_news/LOT...Promotion.html

Was an honest oversight.

At $27 million CAN the jackpot is nearly $1 for every citizen in Canada. If it rises next draw to 30 mill it will be even closer to that. In order to say the same in the US your jackpot would have to be $300 million.

That's how big this payout is in Canada.

And it's TAX FREE.

Our government doesn't stick it's nose in as soon as you win and steal 50% of your winnings like yours does.

And frankly, I find it hard to believe that anyone would snub their nose at even a 3 or 4 million dollar pot let alone one near 30 mill.

You know the old saying "you can't win if you don't play."

I rarely go out clubbing any more, so for less than the price of one beer at the bar I have a shot at winning some cash.... I think it's worth it.

It's just a matter of where your priorities are at.

royaljelly2 05-24-2007 12:50 PM

DAMN I missed it!!!

tehHinjew 05-24-2007 12:51 PM

Yet it's quite funny when you win, your tune changes completely around. :1orglaugh
